What is the unofficial dress code of Clique?
We’re a fashion company at our core, so (almost) anything goes! Whether it’s a blazer and jeans or a tailored suit, we encourage our teams to express themselves through their personal style. Personally, I lean toward a “fashion-forward” spin on business casual.
What would you never wear to work?
Athletic slides or an off-the-shoulder top (sans blazer).
What are your tips for getting dressed faster in the morning?
Depending on my schedule, I have a few go-to outfit formulas to help expedite my busy mornings. A few no-fail options include: skirt + button-up blouse + slingbacks, tailored trousers + bodysuit + blazer + boots, or bodycon turtleneck + sweater + cropped pants + heels. If all else fails, I opt for a suit with mules or vintage jeans paired with a blazer and pumps (for more casual days).
Fill in the blank: Dress for work like ______.
Every day is your first day.
What’s your styling tip for the Who What Wear
Striped 3/4 Sleeve Shoulder Frill Crew?
To offset the ruffled shoulders and playful print of this top, I like to pair it with masculine, edgy pieces. Here I’m wearing side-slit tailored pants by Khaite, a belt from Zara, and Celine boots.
What is one unexpected thing about your job as an executive editor in chief?
Most people assume an executive editor in chief is solely focused on the creative and editorial aspects of a publication, but my role extends far beyond the standard scope of a traditional EIC. My job is equal parts creative, strategy, and business—which is vital for any digitally focused EIC in today’s media landscape. Whether it’s managing a P&L, leading and inspiring a large team, working with cross-functional leads in sales and product development, or working with our creative director on photo shoots, I am constantly shifting between left and right brain. I guess you could say that I wear a lot of hats.
What under-the-radar brand do you like for work clothing?
Khaite is my go-to, and I think it’s safe to say the brand is currently the “foundation” of my wardrobe. The brand’s pieces are sophisticated but strong, and I love its tailoring. It also has an amazing selection of knits and sleek office dresses that transition nicely to the weekends. I like mixing my classic staples from Khaite with trendier pieces from the Who What Wear Collection. It’s a nice balance and it feels fresh.
What advice do you have for someone dressing for work on a tight budget?
Fill your wardrobe with Who What Wear Collection, Zara, or any of the brands mentioned in our story about the best budget-friendly places to shop for work. Also remember a great pair of shoes can go a long way!
Aside from the one you’re wearing, what’s your favorite piece from the WWW Collection right now?
Do I have to pick one? Right now I’m loving the Long Sleeve Rib Midi Dress.

What is the unofficial dress code of Clique?
Funky professional chic—everyone has their own unique, cool-girl, ready-to-hustle style.
What would you never wear to work?
Crop top!
What are your tips for getting dressed faster in the morning?
I don’t follow it as much as I should, but definitely planning your outfit the night before. The very few times I do it, I’m out the door less stressed, which is never a bad way to start the day.
Fill in the blank: Dress for work like ______.
Instagram and Linkedin made a baby and you need to post an OOTD on it.
What’s your styling tip for the Who What Wear Collection Long Sleeve Belted Shirtdress?
Style it as a top over leather pants or trousers to make it feel office-appropriate and get even more use out of it.
What is one unexpected thing about your job as a financial analyst?
I am horrible at budgeting my personal expenses.

I would avoid a tube top without a jacket on top. Our co-founder Hillary Kerr once said you shouldn’t wear anything that you can’t wear a regular bra with—solid advice!
What are your tips for getting dressed faster in the morning?
Keep a folder on your phone of outfits you like and repeat without shame.
Fill in the blank: Dress for work like ______.

What under-the-radar brand do you like for work clothing?
Raey has really great basics that you’ll have forever.

Don’t underestimate the power of a steamer. Even affordable pieces look luxe when they’re freshly steamed out.
Aside from the one you’re wearing, what’s your favorite piece from the WWW Collection right now?
Not necessarily for work, but the Frances Slides are the comfiest sandals.
On Melanie Bender: Who What Wear Asymmetric Hem Dress ($37); Warby Parker glasses; Chelsea Paris boots
What is the unofficial dress code of Clique?
Do your thing! It’s inspiring to come into our office and see so many incredible people expressing their authentic selves through what they have on. You do better work and are more engaged when you’re able to be yourself.
What would you never wear to work?
It’s all about how you style it. I’ve seen women in the office looking super chic wearing everything from Birkenstocks to athleisure tops from our JoyLab line. If you feel confident and put-together, then it’s good to go.
What are your tips for getting dressed faster in the morning?
It’s hard to be creative when you’re in a time crunch, so—nerdy but true—I have an Evernote of “Things to Wear” that’s a stockpile of outfit ideas that happen on the fly. It’s great for those, Oh, yeah, I’ve been meaning to wear that moments and keeps me from putting on the same thing every day.

You believe in your authentic self (because you should).
What’s your styling tip for the Who What Wear Collection Asymmetric Hem Dress?
I’ve been loving wearing our spring dresses with over-the-knee boots to make them weather-ready.
What is one unexpected thing about your job as a VP?
How incredible it feels to work for a female-founded company. It’s such an underrepresented perspective in business and really shapes how we think about our goals, motivate our teams, and relate to our communities. And so many men at the table are equally passionate about bringing that to fruition. We’re “By Women, for All.”
What under-the-radar brand do you like for work clothing?
& Other Stories. I just did a mini haul at its NY store after seeing Libby in our planning department rocking a great top from the brand.
What advice do you have for someone dressing for work on a tight budget?
I wait for the semi-annual sales to invest in great staples you can wear for years, like tailored blazers and elevated sweaters. Then I add in a few key seasonal pieces from affordable brands that fit my body well like Who What Wear and Zara. Also, only buy shoes you can actually walk in. (I’m still working on that one, though.)
Aside from the one you’re wearing, what’s your favorite piece from the WWW Collection right now?
This season is my absolute favorite (which I pretty much say every season). I love the minimalist elegance of the Button Slide Midi, and how can you not smile when you’re wearing the Tie Neck Denim Jacket?

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
