9 Classic Basics You Don't Need to Spend More Than $100 On
With the first official day of spring just nine(!) days(!) away(!), it’s time we all get serious about our warm-weather wardrobes. Of course, that can mean different things to different people. Some might need a serious trend overhaul, while others might have that covered but need to re-up on their basics. The latter, of course, is what I seek to help with today.
In honor of the second-best season’s impending arrival (because we all know the top spot goes to fall), I’ve taken the liberty of scouring the internet for the best versions of nine essential basics, all for no more than $100. From trenches and blazers to jeans, tees, and trousers, these are the pieces no wardrobe—whether trendy, classic, or in between—is complete without. To see and shop my picks from all our favorite affordable sites including Topshop, Nordstrom, Revolve, and H&M, just keep scrolling.

Next: nine basic outfits our editors wear over and over again.
Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. Upon joining, she was a senior about to graduate from business school at USC. Fast-forward to 2025, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was just starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content and her Trust Me—Buy This newsletter. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to neutral, classic pieces but will always make an exception for something colorful or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a party is dressing up for one. On her downtime, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
