Chrissy Teigen Has Some Opinions About Men Wearing Sandals
Leave it to Chrissy Teigen to speak the truth about men wearing sandals. Like she always does with her best rants, she took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the subject.
"This is gonna upset a lot of sandal Twitter but I gotta say that even a perfectly manicured foot looks bad in a man sandal," Teigen tweeted. "It's not their fault they can't win. It's a tragedy. But please, wear them, who cares what looks good!!" Teigen agreed with another user's tweet that summed up the situation perfectly: "Men should not wear sandals," the original tweet read. "There is no outfit that can be enhanced with a sandal … sandals are for people who quit worrying about style right around the ankle." Scroll down to see her Twitter rant in full.
this is gonna upset a lot of sandal Twitter but I gotta say that even a perfectly manicured foot looks bad in a man sandal. It’s not their fault they can’t win. It’s a tragedy. But please, wear them, who cares what looks good!! https://t.co/oHcm3SSsNzApril 19, 2018
I disagree. It's not the sandals (well, sometimes it is...Crocs, looking at you ????) Its the lack of PEDICURE!! Dudes, get your feet done, it's awesome and relaxing and NO ONE wants to see your gross heels and toes. GET A PEDICURE!!April 19, 2018
your wife has what we anti-sandalists call a "sandal fetish", a unique draw and desire for something unusual and perhaps distasteful https://t.co/foV4GdOBqoApril 19, 2018

Men should not wear sandals. There is no outfit that can be enhanced with a sandal. In fact, show me an outfit that would not look better with a loafer, driver, boat shoe, espadrille or simple sneaker. Sandals are for people who quit worrying about style right around the ankle.April 19, 2018

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
