15 Cheap Health and Wellness Buys, All $10 and Under
Does anyone else get a thrill when they save some cash? Whenever I get a receipt back from CVS or the grocery store that says how much I saved thanks to coupons or discounts, I do a little internal happy dance (sometimes a real one, too). I used to think those people on Extreme Couponing were a little crazy, but now I'm wondering if I'm becoming one of them…
That's a question for another day. The main thing is, most of us, if not all, wouldn't say no to saving a few bucks, so in the spirit of finding the best budget-friendly buys and deals out there, I wanted to find the best under-$10 health and wellness products. Surprisingly, it wasn't that hard, thanks to retailers like Amazon, Target, Walmart, and more. Take a look at what I found below and get your credit card ready.
A yoga mat for under $10? Yes, it exists and it even has good reviews, too. One Amazon reviewer wrote, "Been using this mat for about a few months now… and it makes me wonder why I never got a new yoga mat sooner. So much thicker and softer than my ol' 3 mm yoga mat. I love doing exercise and yoga again!"
If you're going to barre class, you're going to need grippy socks so you can get into position without being afraid of slipping. These come in black or gray and are made from a soft and breathable nylon-blend material.
Keeping a pair of light weights in your home leaves no room for excuses when it comes to a quick workout. These Amazon brand ones even come with a limited one-year warranty, too.
These sports bras come highly recommended with over 4000 ratings and an average of 4.5 stars on Amazon. Many reviewers comment that they're comfortable, but that they're better suited for yoga or Pilates, and not high-intensity classes or running.
You can use these for a variety of workouts, like yoga, Pilates, stretching, and strength training. The set comes with a bag for easy storage, plus an e-book and video guide to learn how else you can use the bands.
These mesh leggings will set you back just $10, but they'll be worth a million bucks during your workout. The wide waistband and moisture-wicking fabric make them even more appealing.
Jumping rope is a great cardio workout, plus you can pretty much do it anywhere—at home or when you're on the go (traveling on vacation or on a work trip). This one won't twist or bend because of its ball bearing system, and its handles are ergonomic with memory foam grips.
Want to try out a new supplement? Hum Nutrition (a favorite of THE/THIRTY's editors) offers smaller packets so you don't have to buy a whole bottle. These particular ones are supposed to help digestion. Each packet contains six capsules—perfect for a three-day trial.
We do love diffusers for self-care. Indulge in some aromatherapy to relieve stress or get better sleep with this $10 diffuser. It comes with a night light and self-timer.
Another form of self-care, putting on a mask and chilling out after a long day. This Versed mask will clear and detoxify your skin.
Whether you're headed to the gym, fitness studio, hike, or just running errands, a reusable water bottle comes in handy. You won't have to spend money on disposable water bottles, and you'll be doing your part to be a little kinder to the environment. This one is a glass bottle with silicone sleeve—and all of it (yes, even the sleeve) is dishwasher-safe.
For a boost of collagen (which can help your skin and hair), Sprinkle one of these packets into an eight-ounce cold or hot beverage. Each packet contains 10 grams of collagen peptides, and has no dairy, soy, carrageenan, gluten, artificial sweeteners, or added sugar.
Slightly smaller than traditional yoga blocks, this one from Gaiam is ultra lightweight and easy to grip. Use it to improve stability and balance.
If you love hot yoga, you know a towel can be helpful so you don't slip and slide on your own sweat during class (gross but true). This one is lightweight (3.2 ounces to be exact) and easy to tote around to class. Better yet, you can just throw it in the washing machine to clean.
Foam rollers are so versatile; use them during workouts, to stretch before and after your routine, or to reduce soreness. One reviewer wrote, "A good size for very specific deep rolling and some other specific exercises I need for physical therapy. It's durable even for someone big (I'm 275) and shows no signs of wear after pretty much daily use for several weeks now. A good product for a good price."
