Finally: Chanel Is Launching E-Commerce
A true sign of the times: Chanel is finally launching e-commerce. According to a report in this morning's WWD, the French fashion house is set to officially start offering their wares online in 2016.
The exact launch date is still murky, but a representative of the brand told WWD that the plan is to get it live by September 2016.
"It's an evolution to better serve our customers," Bruno Pavlovsky, Chanel's president of fashion, told WWD. "Some of the customers are able to come into the boutique. Sometimes they don't want to because they want to go faster and they know exactly what they want. So it's more e-service than a pure e-commerce approach."
Hallelujah! In just a short year or so from now, you will be able to purchase your Chanel bags online. Do you plan on taking advantage of Chanel's e-commerce platform? Tell us in the comments below!
