This One Detail All the It Bags Have This Fall
It usually only takes one look at Instagram for it to be abundantly clear which pieces all the fashion girls are favoring at the moment. There are currently a lot of mock croc and leather pieces, but amid the coolest bag trends of fall 2018, there's one style that it seems everyone either owns or is on the hunt for: chain-strap bags.
You might think I'm referring to the plethora of metal chain-link straps that have adorned every Gucci and Saint Laurent bag for seasons. Sure, those styles are certainly classics, but there's a new version of those good-old chain-strap bags this season. They feature a chunky chain link strap, usually in a fun-colored acrylic material that really pops against the body of the bag.
From Trademark's suede bucket bag to new-on-the-scene brand Gu_de's leather croc-effect bag, I'm daring to say that these statement chain straps are the defining detail of all the It bags of the season. This new bag trend is playful, eye-catching, and feels like a completely fresh update on your typical crossbody. To get inspired by how the fashion crowd is wearing theirs and shop our edit, continue on below.

So much cooler than a regular chain-strap bag.
