6 Chic Party Outfit Ideas I'm Stealing From Celebrities This Season
There are few people who attend parties and events quite as regularly as celebrities. From red carpet premieres to fancy award season soirées, frequent event attendance is basically written right into the job description. So when it comes to party outfit inspiration, who better to turn to than those who dress up as a professional prerequisite?
With party season officially upon us (how are we already in November?), I’ve taken it upon myself to scour through the latest celebrity looks to bring you some of the chicest event outfit formulas and coolest party trends out there. Between actors, singers and models, there is certainly no shortage of stylish looks around, and whether you’re partial to a shimmering skirt or are more fond of tailored separates I’ve found a look for just about every aesthetic. Why not take a leaf out of Laura Harrier's book and embrace the season's hottest fabrication? Or emulate Dua Lipa by opting for a grunge-inspired look?
From keep scrolling for six celebrity party outfit ideas and trends I love this celebratory season.
PARTY OUTFIT IDEAS TO COPY FROM CELEBRITIES:
1. Leather-Look Dress + Sparkly Jewellery + Updo
Style Notes: Glossy leather pieces were all over the winter runways this year, buoyed by designers like Gucci, Chloé and Gabriela Hearst. It seems unsurprising that this luxe fabrication has been huge on the celebrity circuit too. Laura Harrier's strapless dress is giving us all the inspiration we need to try it for ourselves. The sparkly necklace? A gorgeous finishing touch.

This would look great with a blazer draped over the shoulders.
2. Blazer Dress + Red Stilettos
Style Notes: Simply put, Tracee Ellis Ross oozes cool. The actor could make anything look covetable. Though, this outfit is a particular favourite of mine. The blazer dress, the opaque tights—it’s all so sleek. The sky-high stilettos are optional, as personally I think a pair of sock boots would look just as good.

The statement shoulders tick off another major dress trend.
3. Party Top + Leather Trousers
Style Notes: Party season is my favourite time of year for dressing, as it's when all the fun bedazzled pieces come out to play. Dua Lipa's studded diamond-shaped top is a sight to behold and looks perfectly edgy with leather trousers. You can sub in any sort of party top for this look though, like the sweet M&S cami below.
Shop the look:
Dua Lipa wore flats with her outfit, so we suggest doing the same.
4. Crimson Co-Ord
Style Notes: When Amelia Dimoldenberg isn't dating A-listers in chicken shops, she's serving some seriously glam looks on Instagram. Case in point, her crimson red satin co-ord. The best thing about a matching set is you can mix up the pieces and style them separately throughout party season.
Shop the look:
5. Leopard Print Dress + Metallic Heels
Style Notes: Leopard print isn't just for party season, but it is hotting up as we move towards the holidays. This classic motif is ideal for evening wear, and it makes a statement alone so you can keep your accessories minimal. Alternatively, take your cues from Ashley Graham and opt for a dazzling metallic heel.

6. Faux Fur + Metallic Dress
Style Notes: Sometimes the occasion calls for a ‘go bit or go home’ attitude, and in our view, a Christmas party is one of those occasions. Trying to decide between faux fur, sequins and velvet? Sport all three in rich shades of crimson and burgundy to create a truly head-turning outfit—thanks for the inspiration, Hailey Bieber.

There's nothing like gold-toned jewellery to keep things elevated.
