Not All Celeb Style Is Out-There—These 6 Power Players Are Defining Chic in 2024
We're only a couple of months into 2024, and already we've been treated to enough killer outfit inspiration to see us through the next 12 months and then some. From the S/S '24 runways to the beginning of awards season, designers, influencers and street style stars alike have come up with new ways to reinvent old favourites, but one group we always look to for fashion pointers is of course, the best dressed celebs.
As much as we may want to believe that celebrities are people just like us, the truth is that they have the means to access some of the most exciting pieces way ahead of them landing in stores, so what they wear on the red carpet and in off-duty outfits now is invariably what the rest of us will be able to get our hands on in a matter of months. But who has the most coveted wardrobe in Hollywood? I asked my fellow editors to decide.
In the spirit of the fantasy football draft (go, sports!), we sifted through scores of A-list players, knocking out entrants with each round until we came up with six power players who make up the ultimate lineup. From well-tailored popstars to effortlessly chic actresses, these are the celebs who our team would happily swap wardrobes with.
Keep scrolling see the winners and shop their style whilst you decide which team you're rooting for in 2024.
TEAM ONE: JENNIFER LAWRENCE
"I'm always excited when there's a new sighting of minimalist queen Jennifer Lawrence. Her pared-back style tends to focus on quality and cut, and no matter the combination, her outfits always have a timeless, chic, 'anti-trend' appeal. These days, you can always find her with an It bag in tow, and if she isn't the perfect investment-wardrobe icon, I don't know who is," says Florrie Alexander, acting affiliates editor.

TEAM TWO: ZOË KRAVITZ
"Zoë Kravitz will always be the ultimate cool-girl for me because every outfit she wears looks so effortless yet somehow so put-together. Her style is just so multifaceted: a vintage '50s shift dress here, a print clash there, red carpet glamour one day and ripped jeans and a biker jacket the next. She's just the laid-back fashion girl who can do it all, and I can't help but fall for everything she steps out in," says Rebecca Rhys Evans, senior fashion and beauty editor, branded content.

TEAM THREE: VICTORIA BECKHAM
"Now, be honest—when it comes to celebrity style, there's no one quite like Victoria Beckham. Who else could wear platform heels to the airport? Or be able to poke fun at themselves with a slogan tee? Or singlehandedly transform WAG culture from front-page tabloid fodder to front-row invitee? Transforming from the chicest Spice Girl to a well-respected designer, Beckham's everyday wardrobe is an exercise in how to look expensive at all times. You'll never catch her in jeans and trainers; she's always tailored to perfection—motivation for those of us who always fall back on the quickest thing to hand to instead take a little extra time getting ready in the morning. And when in doubt, a pair of wide-leg trousers or a pencil skirt are always sure to rise to the occasion," says Remy Farrell, fashion editor.

TEAM FOUR: LAURA HARRIER
"There's no denying that over the past few years, Laura Harrier has earned herself the title of one of the chicest celebs in Hollywood. Stylish but with a girl-next-door kind of charm, Harrier often heads out in looks that are simple and polished, but with a fresh, trend-forward touch. Add in a hefty dose of covetable It buys and some Parisian influences, and you have yourself a celebrity wardrobe that not only is incredibly chic, but actually easy to emulate and wear, too. Opt for classic pieces like French-girl flats, elegant blouses and pretty dresses to steal her style," says Poppy Nash, managing editor.

TEAM FIVE: ELSA HOSK
"Model Elsa Hosk has impeccable off-duty taste (and clearly, the budget and connections to match); often tapping into key designer looks before any other celebrity. I particularly like her more sophisticated and 'grown-up' looks in tonal hues with classy accessories and an overall feeling of being very uptown. I'm not 100% sold on the "mob wife" aesthetic, but I can get behind Hosk's penchant for long coats, heels and an impressive collection of skirts (of varying lengths). She's the very definition of 'loud luxury'," says Hannah Almassi, editor-in-chief.

TEAM SIX: JASMINE TOOKES
"Jasmine Tookes' style first caught my eye a few years ago, and I've been trying to channel her glossy aesthetic ever since. As well as having one of the best collections of Hèrmes Birkins I've ever seen, it's her styling flair that really sets her apart, dressing with an intuition that's down to nature, not nurture. Honing her skills over the years, Tookes' outfits whisper luxury without ever having to try too hard—her blazer-and-jeans outfits look as though the two pieces are meant to be worn together, and the way she casually knots a sweater around her shoulders or waist is always just so. Sticking to a palette of neutrals, the model dresses with the assurance that everything just works, giving her the bandwidth to try new silhouettes and pairings. She recently wore an off-the-shoulder top with wide-leg trousers—another one of my favourite looks from her," says Maxine Eggenberger, deputy editor.
