I Buy 99% of My Clothes on Sale, But I'd Be Willing to Pay Full Price for These

The ruffled hem on this off-white midi skirt makes it look more like a $360 skirt than a $36 one. 

Of course, I want a pair of teardrop earrings from Bottega Veneta (who doesn't?). But since they're over $1,000 and out of stock, I'll be waiting for them to go on sale (if they ever do). In the meantime, I'll be wearing a similar style from Anthropologie.

I love the Skims mock-neck muscle tanks, but I've ruined way too many with makeup because of how high the neck is. This brand-new raglan tank with a lower crew neck is the perfect solution. It's also very '90s, an era I tend to obsess over, so this one's a no-brainer. 

I recently test-drove a version of this Khaite belt for a story and was genuinely shocked by the quality. At $480, it's pricey for a belt. But it's so heavy and sturdy, making it clear it won't fall apart after only a few wears as all of my cheap belts have in the past. It's also the type of accessory that will make any outfit better, meaning I'll wear it constantly with several different items in my existing wardrobe. 

It's officially white pants season, and I've tested several different styles and settled on this immaculate, straight-leg pair from Cos. You should probably do the same. 

Anytime you can get two pieces for the price of one, it's worth taking a chance. When the two pieces look like this gorgeous green top and cream-colored maxi skirt, you do more than give it a chance. You buy it. 

Am I wrong, or are these the perfect daytime sandals for summer? You get the height of a heel without the discomfort (thank you, wedges). 

This viral Norma Kamali minidress is too versatile not to buy. It can be worn as a sport dress in the off chance I take up pickleball (I sometimes play tennis, and when I do, I always need a cute outfit), but if you swap out the sneakers for heels and add a great bag, it can easily be transitioned into a nighttime essential. 

Hosiery and leggings were two of the most talked-about trends from the spring and fall runways, so a $90 pair that checks off both boxes is absolutely going on my shopping shortlist. 

I popped into J.Crew's Fifth Avenue store a few weeks ago to shoot for a story and stumbled upon the white version of this pleated midi skirt. I immediately fell head over heels for it. 

If you shop my stories consistently, you've probably seen these a few dozen times. I love them and have been considering buying a pair for months. I've tried them on in three stores in two countries and am now only seconds from making them mine. Do I do it? It's gotta be a yes, right?

The '90s vibes are impossibly strong, and I simply cannot resist them. 

This miniskirt from Tory Burch's S/S 2023 collection has haunted me since I saw the runway show in September. Now that it's finally available to shop, I feel as if I have no choice but to act. 

I'm telling anyone who'll listen about the cuff comeback, and more specifically, about this Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff I'm seconds away from dropping $1400 on. I've studied the vintage offerings and these clearly age incredibly well, making investing in one all the more warranted. 

If it's red, I want it. Okay, so maybe not anything red, but since I basically only wear linen shirts in the summer and red is my go-to color this season, this $35 button-up is getting my vote. 

Ever since I saw the satin-pants look at Tory Burch's fall show, I've been on a quest to find something similar. These butter-yellow ones from Mango hit the spot. 

I've tried and failed for months to find a pair of ballet flats that feel like me. Though the Miu Miu flats are undeniably gorgeous, they don't feel like me. This mesh pair from Dear Frances, however, is a different story. I love the sheerness. It's so chic. 

Rarely does Khaite drop a dress that I don't automatically fall in love with, but this sheer number left a particularly significant impact on my heart. 

I live in tank tops all summer long, so I'm always on the lookout for ones that feel different. I love the halter neck on this Cos option, as well as the vibrant orange color. 

If it has an attached scarf of any sort, I want it. It's as simple as that.

Obviously, a purchase as significant as a Cartier watch takes a lot of time, research, and consideration. I've been into luxury watches for a while and already have two in my collection. That said, a two-tone Panthère has always been my number one. I love that you can mix and match your jewelry when you wear it and that the 27-millimeter size is so comfortable. It's almost not noticeable, which is perfect for someone like me who sits at a desk typing all day and can't have a timepiece getting in the way constantly. 

Two words: Cashmere hoodie. And that's all she wrote, folks. 

Summer and boat shoes go hand in hand, even if you have no plans to be on or around any boats. It's all for the immaculate aesthetic. 

This shape is classic and interesting at the same time. It's basically fashion magic.

I haven't decided yet whether I need this gorgeous, cropped tank or whether I need it and its matching maxi skirt. Knowing my affinity for coordinating sets, the answer is probably the latter.

I have so many pairs of black sandals for summer, but almost none in any other color. This thong-style pair in olive-green is just what I need.

These are one of the only pairs of Levi's I've never tried. But given my affinity for every other Levi's style, I imagine I'll fall head over heels for them as soon as I slip them on for the first time. 

I love the juxtaposition of a sheer fabric combined with a long-sleeve, buttoned-up silhouette. It feels very '90s and Cher Horowitz–inspired in a manner I've been trying to bring to life since I first saw Clueless.

Did I or did I not just find the perfect scoop-neck white tank? The answer is I did. 

Formula 1 is my greatest love, second only to fashion. So anything related to Moaco and the iconic Grand Prix, I'm going to buy. 

There's a never-ending array of black blazers on the market at any given time, most of which I've tried on at one point or another. As many as there are, though, it's harder than you probably think to find one that feels extremely high quality and tailored to perfection. This blazer ticks off both. 

Sneakers are one of the few items you're better off buying as soon as they come out, even if that means paying full price. If they're hyped up in the slightest, the price will only go up the longer you wait. 

I'm in love with the sheer trend, for skirts especially. But I hate sheer skirts with built-in layers underneath, and surprisingly, it's difficult to find ones without this feature. This Tibi option is among the few that are slip-free, making it the perfect pick for me this spring. 

This bag takes up 75% of my brain capacity 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At this point, it should pay me a salary. 

I've found an interesting but still timeless piece of outerwear is the key to a great spring outfit. 

I'm a serious sucker for a buzzy collab, and the Balmain x Evian partnership is one of the buzziest of the year so far.
