Oh Snap! Consider This Your VIP Pass to the Coolest Party in Fashion

If you ever questioned whether Los Angeles had the chops to become the next big fashion capital, tonight should squash any lingering doubt: Chief creative and chief executive officer of Burberry, Christopher Bailey is in town to host “London in Los Angeles,” the long-anticipated soiree in honour of Burberry’s first flagship boutique in L.A.

To rewind a bit, the Brit brand first unveiled its four-story flagship on Rodeo Drive back in the fall, and to toast the Brit brand’s new zip, Who What Wear co-founders Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power joined the city’s other top influencers to take a turn in Burberry’s Art of the Trench digital campaign.

Of course, it’s all been leading up to tonight’s fête, where VIPs including Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn will celebrate with L.A.’s finest under the stars at the famed Griffith Observatory.

The event marks the first time a British luxury brand has ever called on the iconic venue to mark its arrival in Los Angeles. As Burberry’s Bailey says, “It is an incredible honour and a huge privilege to be able to bring a little bit of Burberry’s hometown of London to such an iconic venue in the heart of Los Angeles.”
