Sorry to My Black Bags—This Classy Shade Is My New Go-To This Winter

We're not even fully into winter yet and I'm already growing bored of styling the same black, grey and beige items on repeat. But whilst the miserable weather remains a permanent feature, I'm not yet in the mood to integrate all that much colour into my wardrobe. So, this season I'm working through my predicament by stocking up on my current favourite shade that captures the cosy essence I'm after without dominating my look: rich, chocolatey brown. Encapsulating the mood of this season, the warm chocolate shade has been cropping up on all of our favourite influencers and celebrities as of late, after making an impact on the autumn/winter runways. Whilst I've been tempted by espresso-brown jumpers and almond-coloured coats, this winter I'm eager to freshen up my accessory rotation with my new favourite neutral. I've settled on a new everyday handbag in deep brown shade, which I know will add a grounded element to my outfits whilst breathing fresh air into my winter capsule wardrobe.

Standing in for the classic black bag, a brown handbag pairs harmoniously with light beige, tan and taupe shades, giving you multiple tonal winter outfits that will have you feeling put-together with ease. And it's not just fashion influencers who have fallen for brown bags—brands such as H&M, Mango, DeMellier and Reformation have all come out with chic, elevated bags in beautiful brown.
