Thanks, Brigitte Macron, for the Winter Skinny-Jean Outfit Idea
In our minds, there's really nothing better than when a woman in power shows her love for fashion. Recently, it's been the first lady of France on our radar for her perfectly French, always polished style. Macron, a former literature teacher, is regularly spotted attending royal dinners and spending time with her royal European friends, always in an outfit we'd want to copy.
No matter the occasion, Macron's style is minimalist at heart (she is a French woman, after all), so we can count on her for outfit ideas with wardrobe staples like nude pumps, fitted blazers, and, yes, skinny jeans. On a recent trip to Deauville-les-Bains, France, Macron and her husband both showed us how the French do off-duty style. Macron wore a base of black skinny jeans and a black sweater and finished off her outfit with a bright pink wool coat and coordinating Louis Vuitton logo scarf—and we can't get enough of the genius combination.
As winter inches closer and closer, we have a feeling we'll be keeping this Brigitte Macron outfit in our back pocket for all our skinny-jean styling needs. Keeping reading to see how Macron wore her skinny jeans in cold weather and to see more of her expert French style.
Style Notes: Macron topped off her all-black ensemble with a bright pink overcoat and pink scarf to really make the colors pop.
Style Notes: The French first lady added polish to her skinny jeans via a structured jacket and sleek pumps.
Style Notes: Her leather skinny jeans and ankle boots lend a tougher element to this sleek winter outfit.
Style Notes: Ever the fan of skinny jeans, Macron expertly styled her denim with a structured blazer, crisp button-down, and a polished handbag.
