9 Australian Brands That Got Their Start at Fashion Week
Fashion Week Australia is here, and we can’t wait to see the batch of fresh talent cropping up from our country’s best designers. Though the digital age is begging the question of whether fashion shows are still relevant in this overly-saturated Instagram age, Fashion Week Australia provides a valuable opportunity for new designers to get their foot in the door.
In fact, Camilla and Marc, the brand kicking off the week this year had its debut at Fashion Week Australia back in 2003—and it’s not the only brand. Many of Australia’s most notable designers launched at the event, and that’s proof enough of the importance that events like this have in fostering local talent and creativity. Scroll on to find out which famous Australian brands got a start at Fashion Week Australia, and shop our favourite pieces below.
