This Casual Trend Is Peak Cool–5 Outfits I'm Trying to Get the Look
The pajama-dressing trend has had an obvious surge following the pandemic including satin co-ords, slip dressing, and now for spring and summer, boxers. These easy, lightweight shorts have a menswear feel while also lending themselves to vacation and beachwear.
French fashion people seem to have caught on first. Some of my favorite influencers have been wearing the trend as a transitional piece with sweaters, cardigans, bomber jackets, boots, and sneakers. To get the look, I’ve tapped five of my choice boxer outfits online and conveniently shopped out the necessary pieces. Below find the best way to add this cool, casual trend into your transitional and warm-weather wardrobe.
Cardigan + Tank Top + Boots
Adding a tank top, longline cardigan, and boots makes this shorts trend accessible for the in-between seasons. This look feels effortlessly put together and also very trend-forward.
Bomber Jacket + Sweater + Loafers
Play off the striped boxers with a colorful striped sweater. Top it off with one of this year’s leading jacket trends, the bomber, and a pair of elevated everyday loafers.
Sweater + Socks + Slides
For an easy work-from-home, errand, or coffee look, pair your favorite sweater on top with a pair of color-matched boxers on the bottom. Finish the look with the ultimate cool, casual pairing: socks and slide sandals.
Co-Ord Top + Sports Bra + Sneakers
If you like a set, opt for the matching patterned top to go with your boxer shorts. Throw on an easy undergarment and some classic white tube socks and sneakers.
Button-Down + Sunglasses + Sandals
For the quintessential vacation vibe, wear your blue button-down casually on top with a tonal pair of boxers on the bottom. Add sandals and sunglasses to wear with your bathing suit.
