3 "Boring" Fall Fashion Trends I'm Betting Money On
Oddly, when it comes to fashion trends, sometimes buzzworthy pieces don't always make a splash. Often, the most important trends are the subtler of the bunch. Sure, for F/W 19 you'll see a slew of feather-bedecked party pants and python patterns, but you'll also discover is a slew of tamer trends that can easily adapt to your existing wardrobe.
While there are plenty of contenders at the moment, there are three "boring" trends I'm betting my money on at the moment: specifically, a print, a shoe silhouette, and a classic tailored duo. Continue ahead to see which ones I'm keen on, and if you want to add them to your fall wardrobe, shop your favorite picks to get started… Because sometimes boring is better.
Serious Suiting
The F/W 19 runways were peppered with a sleek assortment of suiting separates that nodded toward a serious aesthetic that bodes well in a 9-to-5 environment. Translate to after-hours by slipping on a camisole underneath and adding a pair of strappy sandals.
Plaid, Plaid, and More Plaid
Calling plaid a trend for fall is like dubbing florals for spring a new thing—it's not. However, there were some many designers that included the check pattern in their autumn collections, and I can't wait to start wearing it.
Square Toe
You may associate square-toe shoes with the innards of your grandmother's wardrobe, but it's time to dispel these thoughts and embrace the new silhouette du jour. For fall, countless cult-favorite brands are including square-toe pumps, boots, and heeled sandals in their collections, which means they ought to be in your closet as well.
