The Colorful Dress Brand I'd Wear 365 Days a Year

The rest of the country may be putting up with dramatic seasonal shifts, but here in L.A., there's no reason I couldn't wear a dress pretty much every day of the year (don't @ me). Right now, if I had to pick one brand to rely on for the rest of 2019, Borgo de Nor would be at the top of the list. I adore colorful prints, and the London-based label makes some of the chicest patterned pieces out there. What's not to love?

The brand's co-founders take inspiration from their differing backgrounds: Carmen Borgonovo is originally from El Salvador, and Joana De Noronha grew up in Portugal. Both women also share a love of art, and a Frida Kahlo quote sits at the top of Borgo de Nor's website: "I am my own muse. I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to better."

This passion for art, of course, is reflected in their clothes: "With strong female figures like Kahlo and fellow artists Lenora Carrington and Hilma af Klint as inspirations, [Borgo de Nor] celebrates empowered women, who dress for themselves and live life fully as both master and muse." Scroll down to see how women are wearing the brand and shop it for yourself.

Next, what nine real women wear to the airport in Paris.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
