4 Cosy and Cool Outfits Fashion People Will Want to Wear This Bonfire Night
Remember, remember the fifth of November! Bonfire Night is swiftly approaching, and if like me, you've been stumped on what to wear, you're in luck. Whether your Bonfire Night will consist of a trip to the pub and watching a firework display from a comfortable seat, or if you'll be treking up a hill for a chilly evening under the stars, I've collated outfits that will see you through the evening in both warmth and style. Tapping into some of the season's favourite trends, the below easy outfit ideas will have you looking as you chic as you possibly can for an evening of neck-craning merriment.
Read on to shop my Bonfire Night outfit ideas, comprised of picks from high-street favourites as well as a few designer goodies.
1. A CHIC, SEATED EVENING
Style Notes: Throw on a long-sleeved dress and pack on the warm layers for a chic ensemble that will have you feeling put-together and cosy. Leather knee-high boots will help you retain the heat, and a good wool scarf won't go amiss on a November evening.
Shop the Outfit:
Chocolate brown is a trending tone this season.
The thick heel will keep your feet comfortable and supported all evening long.
2. ALFRESCO FIREWORK-WATCHING
Style Notes: If you're in for a cold night, you'll have to be tactical about your clothing choices. A turtle-neck knit in insulating wool will take you further on an evening out than its crew-neck counterpart. Style with wide-leg wool trousers and a playful, fuzzy coat for a look that will have you feeling toasty 'till dawn.
Shop the Outfit:
This ultra-fuzzy faux-shearling coat is the only outerwear on my winter wish list.
Omhu's two-in-one piece pairs a navy lambswool jumper with a snuggly wool bib for an extra layer to combat the cold.
Wool trousers are a cold-weather essential that will keep your outfit looking fresh and smart.
Red accessories are a major trend this season.
3. A SPARKLING SOCIAL EVENT
Shop the Look: There's no need to keep the glistening display in the sky. Lean into the sparkly theme and style up the season's favourite silver metallic trousers. Pack on the glimmer in a subtle way and wear them with a glittery bag and hoops.
Shop the Outfit:
Toteme's scarf coat may as well have been designed with an alfresco evening in mind.
The silver-trouser trend is showing no signs of slowing down.
4. A LONG, CHILLY WALK
Style Notes: If you plan to spend a good portion of your evening ascending a hill to ensure the best possible view of the fireworks, then you can't be without a trusty pair of Chelsea boots. Wear with wide-leg jeans and a thick wool coat, and slip on some gloves for extra insulation.
Shop the Outfit:
Grey remains the most in-demand colour trend for the winter season.
Crew-neck cardigans are having a moment, and this cashmere iteration will keep you both warm and stylish.
If your evening is set to be extra cold, consider wearing a pair of thermals under these wide-leg jeans.
On a cold November night, cosy into a pair of toasty lined gloves.
