The BET Awards are taking place in Downtown Los Angeles tonight, and the red carpet is filled with stars from the music, TV, sports, and film worlds. When Regina Hall is the host and celebrities like Cardi B, Taraji P. Henson, Yara Shahidi, H.E.R. are performing and/or are nominated, it's no surprise that some very memorable looks are gracing the red carpet.
The BET Awards have taken place every summer for the past 18 years in celebration of African Americans and other minority Americans in the entertainment world. Mary J. Blige will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award this year. With past honorees including Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, and Prince, she's in good company.
