8 Reasons Why Zoë Kravitz Is My Ultimate Beauty Crush
I have to admit—before Big Little Lies burst onto our TV screens back in 2017, Zoë Kravitz just wasn't a lady that was really on my radar. Sure, I knew who she was but she wasn't an actor that top of my must-follow list like Margot Robbie or Sophie Turner were. However, it very quickly became apparent to me that not only was Zoë incredibly captivating on-screen in her role as Bonnie but she was equally beguiling off-screen too as her red carpet appearances and Instagram selfies prove.
And I'm not alone. The fashion team are totally obsessed with Zoë's cool-girl style and I've previously paid homage to her perfectly decorated ears but it's her beauty looks that I really want to take a moment to celebrate. Somewhat of a chameleon when it comes to transformations, Zoë is the queen of pushing the beauty boundaries—from a bleached pixie crop to a metallic smokey eye, she's tried it all and looked amazing while doing it. But it's not all about beauty experimentation—she's also a master at naturally glowy skin and barely-there makeup when she's off-duty. Basically, Kravitz can do no wrong.

My jaw totally dropped when Zoë took to Instagram to share this behind-the-scenes snap from her beauty collaboration with YSL. Embracing all things nude, Zoë's glossy eyelids and luminous skin are complemented by her taupe cheekbones and nude lipstick—a satin shade inspired by her grandmother. "She was just such a beautiful woman," said Kravitz. "And she always wore very simple to no makeup, so this feels appropriate for her."
Zoë's everyday beauty look is gorgeously understated—thanks in part to her naturally incredible skin. When she isn't working, Kravitz revealed to Elle that there's one cult product that she always swears by: Touche Eclat. "I don't really wear foundation on a daily basis because I wear so much for work, but it's a great way to even the skin out, and brighten under the eyes," Kravitz explained.
As someone who cannot apply eyeliner to save her life, anybody that steps out regularly with perfectly precise feline flicks has my beauty adoration. Zoë is rarely spotted without her signature cat-eye look but I particularly love how she's teamed her graphic eyeliner with soft pink eyeshadow and lipstick for this red carpet look.
One word: cheekbones. Zoë is a huge highlighter fan—applying it to the tops of her cheeks, down her nose and the inner corners of her eyes for this seriously glowy skin look. Her top tip for application? "I’m into putting your highlighter on under your concealer," Zoë revealed to Vogue. "You can add a little on top, but it’s nice to have that glow peeking through rather than just sitting there."
This might just be one of my favourite Zoë Kravitz beauty looks ever. Besides fawning over her pixie crop and pink pout, that wet-look, midnight-blue eyeshadow look is a true sight to behold. Blue is having a moment right now—watch out this party season when it's sure to be everywhere. Of you aren't feeling a full-on glossy lid then there are plenty of creamy, shimmer-infused options on the market right now which are less high maintenance but equally beautiful.
While a buzz cut might not be a short hairstyle for the fainthearted, it's one that Zoë pulls off with aplomb. The super-short cropped style manages to look both effortless and edgy and I love the way that she's topped it off with a cute polka-dot headband.
Zoë has stepped out with both brunette and blonde hair colours over the years but it's this bleached, braided hairstyle that I'm totally head-over-heels for. If you've recently gone blonde then opt for a purple-toned shampoo to keep your hair colour bright.
Between her changing hair colours and amazing skin, there's one thing that is often overlooked about Zoë—her incredible brows. Full, feathery and perfectly arched they are about as close to eyebrow heaven as you can get. Rather than opting for tinted gels and hair-filling formulas, there are new products inspired by the Hollywood trick of using soap to set your brows in place. By using a balm and a bristle brush (or toothbrush!) you can add fullness and lift to create Zoë-like arches at home.
