A Zara Employee Told Us This Is the Best Zara in NYC

Meet Lauren, Who What Wear's fashion editor and co-founder of The Devils Wear Zara. Lauren is so obsessed with Zara that we started calling her The Zara Scout. Now she's turning the nickname into a franchise so she can regularly share her insider knowledge of the brand, including all her hacks, secrets, and must-haves with you.
People are always asking me which Zara in NYC is my favorite—you know, since I'm known for being a little too involved with the retailer. My answer is always 666 5th Ave. I could never say for certain, but I always felt that this location got product no other Zara in the city received, and I just learned that I was right. Earlier this week I did some investigative journalism and got 123 Zara employees to give me insider tips on how to save money while shopping the brand. One of those employees went on to not only give me tips, but she also told me what her favorite Zara in the city was and why. Can you guess which location she said?
"The best Zara store in New York City is the one on 666 5th Ave. This store receives test items but only in this location. Test items are basically new items that haven't been released online yet. Depending on the traffic these items receive, they will either restock or drop them completely."
Usually, these items (also called "fantasy items", according to a different Zara employee) are only released online to create a more controlled testing environment, but this Zara employee just revealed that you might be able to snag them IRL at the 666 5th Ave. location, and that's pretty special if you ask me. This Zara location is also a flagship store, which means it receives more fashion-forward pieces in general since these locations are the brand's biggest stores and are located in the most prominent locations. So should you ever feel like shopping the old-fashioned way, sans apps and e-commerce sites, this location is officially deemed the best Zara in the city and the only one worth shopping at in my book.
