Why I'm Suddenly Dying to Own This Sold-Out Zara Piece

When I came across the same sold-out Zara sweater twice in one day, I couldn't help but take it as a sign. It started with our social media editor, Mimi, a bonafide Zara expert, who wore a cute pink-and-blue cardigan to work and instantly received a slew of questions about it at the office. Then, as I was scanning through photos to write our Oslo Fashion Week street style coverage, I spotted it again: the same perfect Zara sweater. So obviously I felt the sudden urge to own it ASAP.

The fashion gods, however, were not on my side: The sweater is from Zara's sale section and is completely sold out. And it's no wonder: With a $23 price tag (marked down from $70), it's the ultimate thrifty find. While I anxiously call my local stores to see if there are any left, this street style look from Oslo will have to tide me over. I'm taking notes on the polka-dot blouse, straw bag, and metallic ankle boots for my next online shopping haul. Read on to see the sweater in question.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
