As to their use, I am confident that I will get several years of wear out of these. True to size, I can put a thick pair of socks on if necessary. I would not want them bigger or smaller. Hard to get off but with wear that will change. Glad I was able to finally replace the old ones!"

They also come up a little higher on the calf and have a wider calf circumference than the original short which is what I was looking for. It is not my experience that they are cut for very tiny ankles. My ankles are not slender at all. They are my go-to boots and they are not tight anywhere. I rely on reviews myself and would miss out on them had I read the previous review, so had to write mine. They are true to size.."
