Just when you thought the "ugly" fashion mill had shut up shop for the year, designers go and throw us a real curveball in the form of hiking-style Velcro sandals. Following on from the "dad" sneakers that spiked in the winter, these orthopaedic-style shoes have been spotted on all our favourite influencers, and to date, have been bought by at least five members of the Who What Wear team.

Owners of the "dad" sandal trend are split into two camps: On one end, you have the Prada-toting gang who have chosen to take the plunge and invest serious cash in their logo-clad styles.
