Simply put, I can’t wait for fall. Aside from the upcoming season’s fresh crop of trends and the ability to wear ankle boots again, I’m possibly the happiest because, above all, it signifies that sweater weather is coming! After months of heat, humidity, and an inability to wear anything beyond a T-shirt with jeans, if the idea of throwing on a stylish and comfortable sweater doesn’t get you excited, I don’t know what will. However, since you are reading this, I’ll assume we’re on the same page, so simply continue on to shop my 37 favorite sweaters for the season ahead, broken down by classics, cardigans, and, of course, some statement styles.

Classics

No wardrobe is complete without at least a few simple-but-never-boring sweaters. Pair them with anything from statement pieces to basics.

Cardigans

From standout styles to timeless takes, it’s safe to say the cardigan is definitely having a major moment this season.

Not Your Average Sweater

Big or small, why not make a statement? These sweaters are ideal for pairing with simple jeans for a not-so-simple look.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
