3 Very Specific Colors Trending at H&M, Madewell, and Mango
When several of the most popular online retailers all seem to agree on a handful of summer trends, it's a good indication that you'll soon be seeing them everywhere. Such is the case with a trio of color trends at H&M, Madewell, and Mango. While sifting through the retailers for other stories, I noticed certain hues kept popping up over and over.
These retailers are going all-in on three very specific shades, not just general color families. For starters, while we saw a lot of pastels for spring, summer has turned into the season of cobalt. Dresses, tank tops, blouses, pants—you name it and one of these brands carries it in cobalt blue. Scroll down to shop the three colors trending at H&M, Madewell, and Mango right now, as well as stellar outfit ideas for each shade.
1. Cobalt Blue
I can't decide what I like more: the striking color or the comfortable shape. Good thing I don't have to choose.
Liven up your white tank top collection with this beautiful blue version.
This cute striped top would also look great with white jeans or shorts.
Shop the matching Bikini Bottoms ($13).
Look to Kate Middleton for more ideas on how to style culottes.
2. Marigold
Leave it to H&M to come up with the most affordable version of every trend out there.
Hot tip: Gingham is a major trend for summer.
Shop the matching Bikini Bottoms ($13).
3. Terra-Cotta
Linen is my best friend for summer because it doesn't make me sweat like heavier fabrics do.
Polka dots are also having a moment right now.
You can't beat this great sale price. I'd wear this with a white denim jacket and cutoffs.
This is one of my favorite swimsuits of the season because of this beautiful terra-cotta color.
Next, a "compulsive overbuyer" just sold nine bags of clothes—here's the capsule collection she kept.
Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
