You’ve definitely seen looks crafted from the mastermind of stylist Mimi Cuttrell, who works with mega-celebs including Gigi Hadid, Ariana Grande, and Maude Apatow. A master of proportion play and stealth accessories, her looks always inspire what fashion on the street style scene looks like in the coming months. If you’ve ever wanted to adopt some of the looks she is dressing celebs in, I have some great news for you: Cuttrell recently launched a shoe and bag collaboration with BY FAR that has some of the coolest pieces for spring sitting in it.

Speaking to Cuttrell about the partnership, she explained that she was influenced by retro styles: "My collection with BY FAR was inspired by my love for vintage staples. I wanted to incorporate elements of the styles I grew up around into this collaboration and make them accessible to everyone.”

Curious to find out how spring 2022 trends play into the designs, I asked Cuttrell to share which we can find in the collection—plus on few more on her radar right now. "Chunky platforms are back! They’re so fun—I love it,” she explains. "Seventies under-the-knee boots and classic kitten heels are definitely in right now. Chic ’90s shoulder baguettes are a continued favorite, super-oversize totes for every day, and tiny evening bags. If you’re been curious to know which spring accessories trends are worth the investment, these six have Cuttrell’s stamp of approval. Ahead, see pieces from the collection and shop each accessories trend.

1. Tiny Evening Bags

As we emerge from the pandemic, social events are coming back into the fold—and the same thing can be said about the fashion items that accompany a night out. Fun teeny-tiny bags are popping up everywhere on the market.

2. Chunky Platforms

There is no denying the major rise of platform shoes. Cuttrell specifically calls out super-chunky shapes are the key style to invest in for spring. Whether you want sky-high heels or a lower pair, there are so many cool takes on the market.

3. '90s Baguette Bags

Whether it’s Y2K or ’90s-inspired pieces, retro fashion is having a huge moment right now. One of the most versatile throwback pieces to invest in right now? a baguette bag.

4. '70s Knee-High Boots

You might normally think of boots as a trend for fall and winter, but ’70s-inspired knee-high boots will be huge this spring. I predict we’ll be seeing the fashion set pair them with micro dresses and miniskirts.

5. Oversize Totes

Big, oversize totes have been on the rise, and it’s definitely the time to buy into the trend. Whether you’re using a sleek leather style for work or a raffia version for a vacation bag, there’s a big tote for practically any occasion.

6. Kitten Heels

After shoes that are timeless but still very on-trend? You can’t go wrong with a great pair of kitten heels. Style them with jeans to elevate a casual look, or pair them with a dress for a low-key date night look.
