8 Accessories Everyone Will Own Next Month
Recently, I’ve had my sights set on the spring accessories that are emerging on the market. Yep, all of those leather gloves and bulky boots required for surviving winter weather are instead being replaced with pieces for the warm spring weather ahead. So which trends are about to be big among the fashion set and which accessories are worth investing in for 2019?
Ahead, I’m breaking down the top fashion accessories to know about in 2019 and the ones to start adding to your shopping cart now. From the bag trend that’s quickly replacing basket and bucket bags to the shoe style that we’re seeing in the collections of every designer (yes, I already own a few pairs) to the colors that we’re about to see everywhere, these are the top seven spring accessories you’ll see fashion insiders wearing next month. Go on to see each of the items and shop my edit to wear this season.
'90s Strappy Sandals
Barely there '90s-inspired strappy sandals have been a major trend since last year, but now pretty much every designer has a version of the popular heel in their collection.
Sophisticated Belt Bags
Belt bags were wildly popular last year but were much sportier than the ones we're seeing in 2019. Instead, we're seeing sophisticated leather styles with sleek designer monograms.
Cream
From bags to shoes, optic white has reigned for the last few seasons in the accessories world. Now, though, we're seeing more cream and ivories instead of stark whites.
Tropical Shades
In addition to neutral shades like cream, accessories in tropical colors will be everywhere. Expect to see lots of vibrant greens and oranges.
Raffia Bags
Basket bags and bucket bags have warm-weather staples for ages, but now we'll be seeing bags reinvented for the spring in the form of raffia styles that will be taking over.
Leather Tote Bags
Another bag that's making a resurgence? Big leather tote bags. We're seeing them from designers across the board, with especially strong pieces from brands like Bottega Veneta and Burberry that are under new creative direction.
Scarves
Scarves were all over the runways at shows like Tom Ford, but now we're seeing the trend appear on the street style scene. Recently, there has been a huge focus on hair accessories, and that's exactly how to wear scarves this season.
Hair Clips
Hair clips are showing no signs of slowing down.
