These Are the Sports Bra Brands We Recommend Over and Over
I have a pretty big bust, so finding supportive sports bras can be a major challenge. When it comes to finding the perfect sports bra, it's all about comfort and hold. Depending on the workout you do, you might need a bra with more support and compression. However, for activities like yoga, a light-support bra might work best.
Regardless of what you're looking for, the online world is saturated with brands trying to sell you the ideal sports bra. To break through the clutter, I've gathered a list of the best sports bra brands to shop online. Not only are these bras comfortable, but they're available in a wide variety of styles, sizes, holds, and colors.
1. Brooks Running
While the brand is known for its professional-grade running sneakers, it's also home to the best sports bras. Brooks has two collections to choose from: Dare and Drive. The Dare sports bras feature built-in molded cups that compress and reduce motion, while the Drive bras move with you. Even better, Brooks has a plethora of sizes ranging from A–E and color options from blue and purple to yellow and black.
If you're a fan of removable cups, opt for a bra like the Drive Plunge Run.
Another favorite sports bra from Brooks is the Dare Seamless Racerback, which offers support for high-impact exercises like running, jogging, and dancing.
Let's not forget to mention the Drive 3 Pocket Run Bra, which features three pockets, including one just for your phone and others for your credit cards and keys.
2. Athleta
When it comes to activewear, Athleta is a top contender for its high-quality apparel created by women for women. Browse through dozens of sports bra options ranging in support to suit a variety of activity levels. All of Athleta's sports bras come in tons of colors and sizes and feature moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties. They have a 1x–3x section on the website that features bra sizes up to a G cup.
The Exhale Bra is designed with light support for yoga, Pilates, or floor exercises and is a fan favorite with over 1000 reviews.
For slightly more intense workouts, choose a bra like the Ultimate Bra, which features sleek compression and fashionable racerback straps.
If you're doing super-intense cardio or HIIT workouts, then the Advance Bra will be your best friend.
3. Torrid
Torrid is hands down the best brand for those looking for extended sizes. I'd say 95% of my bras (sports bras or otherwise) come from Torrid. With that said, a section on Torrid's website is dedicated to sports bras for all activity levels (low to intense). Torrid's sports bras are made from a blend of spandex and nylon, so they're stretchy and supportive. They're available in sizes 10–30 or 38B–44DDD. Check the size guide to make sure your measurements align for the best fit.
This low-impact bra is a trending style with a zip front, so it's easy to put on and take off.
Ideal for low- to medium-impact workouts, this one has supportive straps that hold everything in and moisture-wicking properties to keep you dry.
For a bolder look, find bras with different eye-catching patterns and colors, such as lightning bolts or florals.
4. Under Armour
Sports bras should move with you, not against you, while they're doing their job. Under Armour's sports bra collection features pieces designed with four-way stretch for easy movement and light and breathable fabric that wicks away sweat and keeps you feeling cool. They're available in sizes ranging from XS–XL and 38DDD–44DDD.
The High Crossback Zip Sports Bra features non-removable foam pads for extra support and coverage. The brand's HeatGear fabric is designed to provide long-lasting comfort to make your workout more pleasant.
For low-impact workouts, opt for the UA Infinity Low Covered Sports Bra that's available in a wide variety of colors (pink, blue, gray, white, purple, and more) and ideal for everyday wear, whether you're doing some light yoga or running daily errands.
Want more coverage? This Seamless Low Long Sports Bra stops right above the navel and comes in over 10 colors.
5. Lululemon
You probably already know and love Lululemon, and that's for a good reason—it's high-quality activewear. Whether you're going on a run or doing some yoga, Lululemon has sports bras fit for the occasion. Sizes vary from 30C–42DDD and 2–14 depending on the piece.
The Run Times Bra offers high support for running and is made with four-way-stretch, sweat-wicking fabric.
For less intense workouts, opt for the Energy Longline Bra that boasts medium support with its racerback straps and removable cups.
When it comes to color, there are tons to choose from. For example, the brand new Free to Be Elevated Bra comes in vivid plum, pastel blue, raspberry cream, dark olive, and more.
6. Zella
You can find more than 40 sports bras from Zella at Nordstrom. The brand is known for its high-quality activewear for women of many shapes and sizes. Choose options from the brand's Live In or Studio Lite collections, which are designed for everything from everyday wear to high-intensity workouts. Browse through a variety of prints, colors, and styles to find a bra that best suits your needs. They're available in sizes S–L and 1x–3x.
For daily activities and light exercise, this Live In Racerback Bra features removable cups and a scoop neck for breathability.
The Studio Lite Zebra Front Zip Sports Bra is made from polyester, spandex, and nylon. It offers four-way stretch and sweat-wicking technology for those high-intensity workouts.
7. Sweaty Betty
Sweaty Betty has some of the most comfortable athletic pieces on the market, and its sports bra selection is bountiful. Choose from bras designed for low-, medium-, and high-intensity workouts in different styles to suit your preferences. The pieces are available in sizes XS–XXL and 30A–38G, and they come in a plethora of colors such as black, navy blue, spring orange, ash pink, regatta blue, and vivid green. Plus, the sports bras are made from sweat-wicking fabric to keep you dry and comfortable.
Whether you're going on a walk around the park or to the grocery store, the Solstice Strappy Back Bra offers light support and removable pads fit for the occasion.
For those high-intensity workouts, the Ultra Running Bra offers maximum support with advanced compression technology and padded shoulder straps.
The Balance Seamless Bra is made of soft, sweat-wicking fabric. It's perfect for low-impact exercises. The square neckline is trendy, and the deep-ribbed bottom band is comfortable.
8. Outdoor Voices
If you're looking for sports bras with light- and medium-support options, then Outdoor Voices will be your new go-to. Browse through bras and supportive crop tops made from the brand's signature TechSweat fabric designed for medium to high activity. They're available in tons of patterns and colors (polka dots, color blocks, solids) and in sizes XS–XXXL.
Try Outdoor Voice's best-selling Doing Things Bra, which is designed with medium support and racerback straps. Plus, its mesh back provides breathing room to keep you cool during your workout.
For a full-coverage option, the Flow Crop Top provides light support and allows for unrestricted movement, whether that's for yoga or Pilates.
The Zoom Strappy Bra is made with the brand's SuperForm fabric, which is ideal for high-sweat and high-intensity workouts. It also provides UPF50 sun protection.
9. Alo Yoga
Alo Yoga is known for sports bras that are designed for everyday wear for active folks who always need some support. The brand offers light-support options in core and seasonal colors. They're available in sizes XS–L.
The Airlift Intrigue Bra features the brand's signature Airlift fabric, adjustable straps, and removable cups ideal for yoga and other daily activities.
For a more form-fitting piece, opt for the Pinstripe Jacquard Captivate Bra that's designed to move with you thanks to its body-contouring pinstripes and flattering four-way-stretch fabric.
The Airlift Take Charge Bra might feature fabric that feels like a second skin, but it's also highly supportive for HIIT workouts and runs.
10. Girlfriend Collective
Girlfriend Collective has bras that won't let you down even during the most intense workouts. It has a pretty inclusive size range with options for different body shapes and sizes XXS–6X. Plus, there's a wide assortment of staple and limited-edition colors to pick from.
Opt for the brand's best-selling Paloma Racerback Bra, which features a strong support band, racerback straps, and a longline silhouette.
For a more stylish option, the Black Uma One Shoulder Bra is made from recyclable materials with low- to medium-impact support. Oh, and its four-way stretch moves with you, not against you, so your workout is more pleasant.
Made from the brand's Float fabric, the Milo Racerback Bra is designed to keep you cool. For extra support, there's a layer of power mesh in the front.
11. FP Movement
FP Movement has activewear that is so unique and stylish. You'll find bras with cool colors and details (like cutouts and mesh) available in sizes XS–XL.
With a ribbed design, the Free Throw Crop is both comfortable and secure. The longer silhouette gives you enough coverage.
The Square Neck Good Karma Bra has a ribbed bottom band to keep everything in place and wide straps for added support.
12. Bravissimo
For those with a larger bust, Bravissimo is here to help. Compression is key in a sports bra, but not to the point where you can't breathe. The brand carries 70 sizes up to a J cup in sports bras, making them more accessible to those with nearly any bust size.
The Astrid Sports Bra is made from recycled polyester and keeps your boobs close to your chest for those high-impact workouts where they might otherwise bounce around.
For a slightly different fit, the Inspire Sports Bra features an underwire to create a more rounded appearance and padded straps for comfort. Wear this bra while exercising or just out and about during the day for added support and lift.
The color options are limitless here. Opt for a classic black or white, or go brighter with yellow or blue.
