Grab a cup of tea and take a pew, as we're about to delve into the very best red carpet looks from 2019. When it comes to this area of fashion, it was truly a vintage year. Celebrities wanted to experiment and thankfully, we were treated to fashion that felt fun and exciting.
While we would never knock the classic Hollywood bombshell, there were some more exciting dresses and outfits that took our breath away and had us talking about them for months. At the Oscars, we had Billy Porter's gorgeous tuxedo gown created by Christian Siriano. At the Met Gala, Lady Gaga pulled off a staggering four looks by Brandon Maxwell via a series of entertaining reveals. Other gowns that were worthy of appearing on this list include Elle Fanning's custom Gucci at the Cannes Film Festival (she also stunned in a black-and-white Dior creation at the festival, such was her red carpet prowess this year).
But she isn't the only A-lister to appear more than once here. Kendall Jenner, Sienna Miller and Timothée Chalamet also impressed us with their style and all get two slots each. Other outfits that more than deserve your attention include Kim Kardashian West's wet-look Thierry Mugler creation, Lizzo's peach off-the-shoulder Valentino dress complete with tiny bag and Zoë Kravitz's barely there bra-and-skirt combo for the Oscars after-parties.
Other important notes? This year, it was clear that there was one key colour, and that was pink. It should come as no surprise, as 2020 is set to be full of the hue.
