Although I am an avid shopper and a fashion editor, the online retail space can sometimes feel crowded and overwhelming. This is especially true when it comes to new players that don't offer a brick-and-mortar experience.

Quince was started in 2019 to provide high-quality products without the middleman, and that's something I wanted to put to the test. The brand is known for its capsule-wardrobe classics, but it also has a knack for adding a trend-forward nudge to those staples. I opted to try out a mixture of outerwear, workwear, eveningwear, and accessories for the full scope. My biggest takeaway would be the reviews' accuracy, the materials' luxuriousness, and the highly competitive prices.

Below, find the five best Quince pieces to buy that I tried on IRL and additional favorites from the brand.

Double-Faced Merino Wool Scarf Coat + Italian Suede Shopper Tote

Scarf coats have become a quiet luxury staple, and Quince's Merino Wool Scarf Coat does not disappoint. The material is luxe and warm and has a nice structure to it. For under $200, this is a definite market steal. I paired the coat with this opulent suede tote in rich chestnut. I was very impressed with the quality of the suede and the effortless structure of the bag. Not to mention, there are plenty of pockets, and it is laptop-friendly, making it a viable work bag. It rivals the luxurious, expensive carryalls that are everywhere right now and may have been my favorite Quince find.

100% Leather Blazer + Organic Cotton Boxy Oxford Shirt

As an avid fan of oversize workwear, I was immediately drawn to this boxy oxford shirt. The light cotton material feels substantial and presses well like a classic dress shirt should. It is definitely a wide cut (as advised), so if you like a slim silhouette, I would recommend sizing down. I opted for the blue to expand my collection, but it also comes in a crisp white option. I got so many compliments when I paired this shirt with the brown leather blazer. I could wax poetic about the quality of this leather for the price. The blazer has a thick, premium feel to it and almost looks vintage in the brown colorway. It is slightly oversize, but I would've even sized it up to give it a more exaggerated feel. The reviews on this piece also don't lie.

100% Washable Silk Slip Dress

I have been searching for the perfect slip dress, and this just might be it. The silk is sturdy yet light and washable. Impressive, right? Though I chose the leopard print, the dress comes in 16 other colorways. It is a bias-cut slip, so it is slightly tighter if you are busty but flares out at the bottom. The versatility of this piece is unmatched due to its quality, whether you choose to make it an office staple or a wedding guest dress. Plus, it has 2900 reviews that average a 4.9-star rating.
