Prada Is Really, Really Good This Season—9 Pieces I'm Losing Sleep Over
Hello, and welcome to my Prada TED talk. If someone asked me to make a list of things I think about every single day, Prada would absolutely be on it. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons are wizards, and I'd happily buy anything they designed if I had a bottomless bank account. Nevertheless, I do invest in Prada from time to time (usually accessories or shoes) and I'm having an exceedingly difficult time choosing between the offerings this season.
If you're like me and look at the Prada runway images over and over until the collection debuts, you know how enjoyable it is to see the pieces start to infiltrate the internet (and your Instagram feed if you're deep in that fashion algorithm). The time has come to daydream about the F/W 23 collection, and we might as well do it together. Read on to shop the straight-off-the-runway pieces I legitimately can't stop thinking about.
Trapezoid Bag
Every season has an It Prada handbag, and this one is leading the charge for fall 2023. In fact, it's the only bag shape that Prada sent down the runway. The structured trapezoid style feels fresh, and it's undoubtedly versatile enough to work for occasions both casual and special.

Suede Blazer
I basically gasped when I saw this glorious pink suede blazer. Paired with the micro miniskirt and orange flower appliqué shoes, it was just *chef's kiss.* The oversize cut makes it perfect for wearing over a lightweight sweater.
Floral-Appliquéd Leather Flats
I see, hear, or read about these shoes every single day. Prada pulled the genius move of designing several different floral designs to choose from, so it feels like every pair that you see is unique. Never have I wanted to wear a pair of stark white shoes in the fall and winter so badly.
Shop the flats:
Embroidered Organza Miniskirt
After the show, the white organza skirts were all anyone could talk about. The styles ranged from micro mini to full midi skirts, all equally covetable. They're basically works of art—the only problem being that they'll cost a few months' worth of rent.
Shop the skirt:
Collared Cardigan
Leave it to Prada to turn something slightly passé into the coolest thing in fashion in an instant. In this case, it's pre-layered garments. Prada added a sharp open collar to a V-neck cardigan and the resulting piece is pure magic.
Shop the cardigan:
Long Velour Duffle Coat
You can thank Prada for igniting the toggle trend that's set to take off this fall. Complete with the brand's signature triangles and a hood, it elevates the classic camel coat to the maximum level. It's a hefty investment, but it's a timeless piece you'll still be wearing in ten years.
Shop the coat:
Long Gabardine Dress
As you can see, this isn't your average white dress. Prada ingeniously added a train to the uniform-inspired gown. I could see this being worn for both formal events and casual ones.
Shop the dress:
Poplin Shirt
This crisp shirt reminds me of one of my favorite movies growing up, the very chic, slightly obscure Troop Beverly Hills. This is an excellent example of Prada's use of origami-inspired tailoring this season.
Shop the shirt:
Flora Kitten-Heel Pumps
Prada's kitten-heel version of its aforementioned It flats are poised to be just as popular. They're the type of shoes that fashion people will be talking about for years to come, and they're sure to garner plenty of wait lists any day now.
