If You're Not Using These 55 Products, Our Fashion and Beauty Editors Say You're Missing Out
By now, you've probably surmised we test-drive a lot of beauty products here at Who What Wear. From nail polish and makeup to hair and skincare, we're eyebrow-deep in all things new, exciting, and wish list–worthy. That said, due to the number of products we come in contact with, we've become very nitpicky beauty consumers. Within seconds, we can tell if a new hair oil is too heavy, and we're quick to ignore a serum that yields disappointing results.
The good news? We can't wait to spread the word to all of our fellow beauty lovers (that's you!) when we do stumble upon a product we love. Therefore, we've decided gushing over our latest fave products should become a monthly ritual. You can expect a full report every 30 days or so that details the highlighters, hair wands, and overnight skincare saviors we've fallen head over heels for.
For the most part, we'll be covering buzzworthy launches, as those typically take up most of the action atop our product-filled desks, but we won't dismiss new-to-us products, either. Sometimes, our best discoveries are found on a friend's vanity or on someone's face at the bar (true story). Ahead are the best beauty products we tried in February! Grab your game face and wallet because you'll need both.
Erin Jahns, Beauty Director
I've been a beauty editor for nearly eight years, and it has taken exactly that long to *finally* find a body-ifying hair mousse that gives me an A+ performance. Davines is one of those few-and-far-between haircare brands that I'll always come back to (I have yet to try a formula that hasn't delivered borderline magical results), and its latest launch did not disappoint. I use this mousse on my damp hair along with the rest of the OI haircare ritual including the Shampoo, Conditioner, and All in One Milk, and I'm still shocked at the shine, softness, and natural body and movement my hair has post-blow-dry. It's literally supermodel hair in a bottle.
I am so incredibly sensitive to the tactile experience of lotions and creams, and historically, I just can't stomach the greasy or tacky feel of hand creams, in particular. So every winter, like clockwork, I become the atypical beauty editor with dry, embarrassingly cracked hands. However, these luxurious hand creams from Chloé have been the one-in-a-million solve. They smell incredibly good (duh, they're Chloé), but the cream formula itself absorbs almost instantly leaving behind a soft, velvety, completely undetectable finish. All three scents are superb, but Santalum has quickly become my favorite.
I was sent a few of Saltair's body essentials in the new Salt Water Vanilla scent, and upon first sniff, I wanted to melt into a puddle out of pure ecstasy. (Yeah, it really smells that good.) I've been using the body wash, body oil, and body butter religiously, combining the latter two for a double dose of wintertime hydration. Heaven, bottled.
Every beauty editor's favorite drugstore skincare brand, Versed, recently debuted an impressive line of makeup. I have a handful of favorites, but this mascara has found a permanent place in my makeup bag (which, due to how picky I am when it comes to mascara, is almost unheard of). Just like the name suggests, it lifts and defines the lashes so beautifully, and the formula doesn't smudge or flake as the day goes on. Since I received both black and brown shades, I let my makeup-obsessed mom (who's 77!) take the brown for a spin, and she couldn't stop gushing. She has ultra-sensitive eyes and is almost pickier than I am, so the fact that we are both infatuated with this formula is telling.
Beverly Hills–based plastic surgeon Catherine Chang is one of the most sought-after experts in the country, and she seriously knows her stuff when it comes to aesthetics and skincare. After becoming besotted with her hydrogel eye masks (they're hands down the best eye gels you'll ever try), I was downright giddy when she launched a version for the entire face. Just one 20-minute wear makes me look like I just came back from a $500 facial, and while they're a bit spendier than other hydrogel face masks on the market, I promise the firming, brightening, hydrating, and plumping perks are 100% worth the splurge—especially if you have any special occasions coming up.
Not only do I love the nostalgic bent to this whipped cream–inspired sunscreen (it literally comes out in easy-to-spread beveled dollops), but it's absolutely one of the best body sunscreens I've ever tried. It's easy and fun to apply, and even the original formula gives the skin a rich-looking glow. Now, the brand has debuted an additional iteration infused with a dusting of "foam-whipped gold shimmer," and I'm already predicting I'll go through at least three bottles this summer.
If I told you how many people have instantly purchased e.l.f.'s Glow Reviver Lip Oils after asking what I'm wearing on my lips, you wouldn't even believe me. It's a drugstore must, and the new glimmer collection is seriously dreamy. I recently wore the shade Candy Coded on an IGS, and I received so many DMs asking what was on my lips. The best part? At $8, you can buy every single shade for less than other (and IMO, overhyped) prestige lip oils on the market.
Jamie Schneider, Senior Beauty Editor
"It is so, so difficult to find a clean, skin-improving foundation that actually delivers on its long-wear claims. (Many natural-leaning formulas wind up looking oily by midday.) Let me tell you this Lawless number is perfection. Never before has a foundation made my skin look airbrushed all day long without a single touch-up."
"As someone with 2C hair (mostly S-waves with a few proper ringlets thrown in the mix), gel-creams are my jam. These hybrid formulas give me the hold I need without weighing down the strands or making them feel crunchy, and this Sisley Paris gem is the best I've tried in a minute. My OG favorite is the Crown Affair Finishing Gel, and this jelly feels similar, yet it’s even more moisturizing for glossier, silkier curls."
"Farmacy’s Green Clean Cleansing Balm is beloved in skincare circles, so of course I had high hopes for the brand’s new water-based solution. I’m happy to report that I’m just as obsessed! Formulated with Moringa oil, aloe vera, and a nourishing apple and oat blend, it leaves my skin feeling supple and refreshed (never stripped) post-cleanse. The creamy confection has quickly become my go-to morning face wash."
"I don’t wear false lashes on a regular basis (and the thought of applying them myself honestly sends a shiver up my spine), but leave it to celebrity makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez—responsible for the flutters of Sabrina Carpenter—to totally change my outlook. They’re self-adhesive (no messy glue getting in your eyes!), comfortable, and completely natural-looking. Just a couple clusters at the outer corners makes a big difference; think doe eyes without looking too done."
"ICYMI, blue eye shadow is trending yet again, and this Mob Beauty palette has one of the prettiest aqua hues I’ve ever seen. Made in partnership with content creator Sara Rose Donahue, the shade trio (espresso, cerulean, and sparkling pearl) feels at once delightfully retro and strikingly modern. I like to combine them just like Donahue: a wash of brown on the lid and swipe of blue underneath the bottom lash line, complete with a dust of sparkle all over, for good measure."
"The very first day I spritzed on this fragrance, three people asked me what perfume I was wearing. U Beauty’s latest launch is that good. The brand describes it as 'your entire scent wardrobe in one bottle,' as it doesn’t fit into a single fragrance category; it’s at once floral, fruity, earthy, and gourmand, and it lands differently on everyone. On my own skin, the tart lychee and woody vetiver notes really bloom—and it smells like heaven."
Kaitlyn McLintock, Beauty Editor
"This is hands down my favorite foundation find of 2025—so far at least. I slide it across my skin straight from the stick, and it melts like butter—giving me flawless, natural-looking coverage. It's so effective that you'd never know I have dry, red, and irritated skin underneath (thanks, winter!). I can't recommend it enough. It's a new staple in my makeup bag."
"When I use setting powder, I'm trying to achieve a soft, velvety, cherub-skin effect. If it doesn't deliver it, I go without it. If it looks cakey, muddy, or grayish on my skin, I chuck it. This one is one of the rare setting powders that does all of the good things and none of the bad. I use the Translucent Candy shade (a sheer pink) that makes my skin look bright and airbrushed."
"I'm sorry, but can Hailey Bieber take a break from making Rhode products? My bank account is short on funds, and my makeup bag is short on space. I'm already obsessed with the brand's Peptide Lip Treatment, Barrier Restore Cream, and Pocket Blush, and now I can't go without the new Peptide Lip Shape either. I love how they're meant to be messy so as to contour the lips rather than outright define them. I also love their soft-focus color. Honestly, my lips have never looked better."
"Most foaming cleansers disrupt my moisture barrier and leave my skin dry, tight, and irritated. This one is different. The Korean formula is specifically formulated for sensitive skin and uses deep sea water, 90+ minerals, and a complex of soothing ingredients like allantoin and ceramides to keep skin calm, smooth, plump, and happy. It's so good that I actually look forward to washing my face. Crazy, I know."
"If you're like me, and you love the nostalgic scent of old-school sunscreens, you'll love this perfume. Notes of coconut water, fresh citrus, sea salt, and vanilla transport you to a surfside beach chair, yet it doesn't veer kitschy or immature. It's quite the opposite, actually. Warm and alluring, it somehow smells elevated and sophisticated. I've been wearing it nonstop, and that won't change once spring and summer arrive."
Alyssa Brascia, Associate Beauty Editor
"Mario Dedivanovic could breathe, and I’d classify it as high art, but despite my bias, this lip gloss-oil hybrid is the lip product I truly could not leave the house without this month. Its jojoba oil and pomegranate extract–infused formula leaves my lips feeling supple and smooth long after the product has been absorbed (hence my lip-oil statement, offering similarly hydrating effects), and my lips look larger and glassier after just one swipe of this ultra-slick formula. I’ve paired Midnight Mauve, Cocoa, and Rosewater with just about every lip liner I own, and I know our beauty director, Erin, has been wearing the the shade Bare religiously. Do yourself a favor and buy them before they sell out."
"Laura Mercier is known for its stellar tinted moisturizer, but its newly reformulated Natural Dewy skin tint is really something else. Beyond its impressive shade range (20 hues that capture warm, neutral, and cool undertones), this version of its famous tinted moisturizer hits the mark on coverage, hydration, and skin protection. Its hyaluronic acid–infused base feels like the thick, hydrating cream that my dry winter skin needs yet also blends like a dream, offering the perfect amount of pigment. It buffs beautifully into my skin with fingers, a brush, or a sponge, and I love knowing that my skin is protected during mild late-winter days thanks to its included SPF 30."
"I'm gonna be honest. I've received so many fragrances that I almost wrote this one off from the moment it arrived at my door because of the word mist in the title—but boy, am I happy I gave this Salt & Stone concoction a shot. This delicate mist is an even budget-friendlier version of Maison Francis Kurkdjian's famed Baccarat Rouge 540 ($4 cheaper than Dossier’s imitation scent, Ambery Saffron) thanks to its warm and spicy fragrance profile, which consists of cedarwood, jasmine, and saffron. Besides its likeness to an ultra-famous scent, this mist feels like the wearable equivalent of a cardigan-wrapped evening lounging by the fireplace in a snow-capped destination, aka the perfect lightweight winter scent."
"Between trips back home to a bitterly cold Chicago and the almost-as-frigid NYC winter, my skin has been going through it—and the seasonal essential I need most outside of a really warm (yet cute) parka is an ultra-moisturizing facial lotion that won’t pill under my makeup, and thankfully, the makeup gods have heard my plea. This new moisturizer from Cocokind is cool to the touch and soothing, giving my dry, redness-prone skin a comfortable base for my makeup during the day (that won’t ball up under my brushstrokes!) and a layer of skin-plumping, revitalizing moisture at night."
"It feels like there’s a new mascara launch every other week, but this one really caught my eye (pun intended). Flashy metallic packaging aside, this tube has been a recent standout in my makeup collection for a few reasons—its wand is thick and grabs a ton of product, evenly coating each lash with volume-boosting lacquer, and it really holds the shape of my lashes after I curl (a rarity in the mascara realm). Plus, it’s not a flaky mess under my eyes at the end of the day and doesn’t take a million cotton balls with micellar water to wash off, which earns major points in my book."
"I’m obsessed with just about any eye, cheek, and lip products that lean even slightly mauve, so when I saw this romantic hue inside a collection of perfectly packaged ColourPop blushes backstage at the Selkie NYFW show, I knew I had to incorporate it into my routine. This silky blush has a matte finish but gives a warm dimension to the skin and has impressive buildability, so you can go for a light flush with your first layer or add a few more swipes for a statement."
"It took a lot of convincing for me to break up with my go-to sensitive skin–friendly cleanser, but the results didn’t disappoint when I left it for the newest addition to the Farmacy facial cleansers family. This rosacea-friendly formula is engineered for sensitive skin, putting oats, aloe, and Moringa oil at the forefront to soothe and nourish the skin while still effectively removing makeup and dirt without over-stripping. As someone who has chronically dry skin, this cleanser has been monumental in the care and keeping of my winter complexion—never leaving my face tight after washing and slowly helping to neutralize my redness."
Eliza Huber, Senior Fashion Editor
"My favorite lip treatment now comes in a tint that's so subtle and pretty. I got the chance to test it out ahead of its debut—it comes out on February 27—and fell hard and fast for its slightly berry-tinted shade. And, just in case you need more incentive, our beauty director, Erin, is also obsessed."
"This new glossy lip color is so hydrating and easy to apply. I love the dark-berry shade for winter, but I also know full well that it'll look great with a tan in the summer."
"I've been using this Fenty foundation brush to apply my tinted moisturizer, and it's changed my life. I'll never rub it in with my hands again. The best part about this brush is the angle of it, which helps to get product in the small crevices of your face, like the side of your nose and under the eyes."
"I know this product is expensive, but wow, it's incredible. I've never tried a body treatment like it, and it's the only thing that keeps me moisturized all day, even in the winter. It's so lightweight as well, so it doesn't leave you sticky."
Bobby Schuessler, Shopping Director
"This concealer from the new brand Kint is divine. The texture is perfect, and it perfectly matches my skin tone. Oh, it's also super hydrating. Obsessed."
Allyson Payer, Senior Fashion Editor
"I've been a Westman Atelier fan since the brand's debut, but I've been on a real kick lately. My latest WA obsession is the Lit Up highlighter stick in Petal. The finish is very dewy, and it looks super natural and glowy without any obvious shimmer. Petal looks stunning over a pink cream blush (especially Baby Cheeks in Petal, of course)."
"I'm extremely picky about mascara, but I'd heard enough good things about this one to finally try it, and I have no regrets. It's not clumpy, it doesn't flake, and you can achieve a natural look with one coat or a couple for more drama. I was so pleased with it that I immediately ordered it in brown after getting the black one, and I think I like brown even better. It's still quite dark but looks softer and even more natural than the black one."
"Shani Darden's newest creation has been my skin savior this winter. It magically evens out skin tone, reduces redness, brightens, and prevents moisture loss in one fell swoop. I've been layering it under Shani Darden's Hydration Peptide Cream, and I highly recommend the combination."
"I was lucky to get my hands on this just-launched skin tint–sunscreen hybrid, and it's 100% worth a purchase. It's super lightweight and easy to blend. The coverage is pretty light, so I'd probably wear at least concealer for more coverage when using it, but it's great for those no-makeup makeup days. I was pleasantly surprised by how many shades it comes in."
"I'm happy to report that I've found my new favorite shampoo and conditioner. Aside from the scent, the standout quality that this combo has is that it moisturizes my long hair without weighing it down. It's shinier and bouncier since I started using it, and there's noticeably less frizz to contend with."
"I have so much trouble maneuvering dry shampoo in spray form, so I was eager to try this powder-puff format. I'm happy to report that it gets the job done, is easy to apply, and since I use the tinted one for my dark-ish hair, there's no white powder to have to dissipate."
"I was intrigued by the very enthusiastic reviews from Makeup Forever's new Super Boost lip gloss, and since trying it for myself, I can say the hype is justified. It lasts forever and is the perfect amount of not-too-sheer pigment. It's also plumping without making your lips feel crazy. I started with Whatever Walnut, which is the perfect nude rose, and Boundless Berry is going to be in my next Sephora order."
Nikki Chwatt, Associate Fashion Editor
"I just learned about facialist Sofie Pavitt's editor-loved serum on TikTok last week, and since I'm easily influenced, I added it to my cart immediately. I've only been using it for a few days now, but I've noticed that my skin is much brighter and bouncier. I look forward to continuing to see its benefits and pairing it with the Omega Rich Moisturizer, which I need to get my hands on."
"This cream eye shadow is blendable, silky, and long-lasting. I love wearing it alone with mascara for an everyday look or layering it with darker powder eye shadow colors for an evening look."
"Rhode's newest lip contour has become my latest obsession. It's very beginner-friendly, and it is impossible to apply incorrectly. Additionally, each application leaves my lips looking enhanced and sculpted—and that's all I could ever ask for."
"Meet my new gym perfume. It's light yet intoxicating and pairs perfectly with my deodorant to keep me smelling good, whether lifting weights, doing yoga, or walking on the treadmill."
Anna LaPlaca, Senior Fashion Editor
"Imagine the most expensive-smelling scent you can think of, and then double it. That's the only way I can describe how luxurious the Black Rose and Oud Body Wash from Salt & Stone smells. In fact, it reminds me of the custom scents that hang in the air at every Edition Hotel—albeit for a fraction of the hospitality brand's lineup—so when I close my eyes in the shower I'm instantly transported from my studio apartment to one of the limestone-framed bathrooms of the same size. But I digress. The formula is filled with nourishing ingredients like niacinamide that have helped keep my mid-winter skin feeling smooth and hydrated."
"I'd heard rumblings about this haircare brand among stylist and editor friends, but it wasn't until I made them a part of my own routine that I fully understood what all the buzz was about. Let me just say the hype is very real. I've been using the shampoo, conditioner, and pre-wash hair and scalp oil for almost two months now, and every day has felt like waking up with salon-quality hair. I actually didn't think that was possible! Ever since I started coloring my hair, it's been dry beyond the redemption of any styling products, and I've found that it's done almost a 180 with this new routine. My natural waves have never been bouncier, and when I do give myself a blowout, it's impossibly smooth and stays like that for days."
"If you're on the side of TikTok that I am, then you're also probably getting inundated with French-pharmacy skincare hauls. I'm not one to be easily influenced on skincare products, because I've already figured out what works for me, but whoa. Everything you've heard about this viral moisturizer is extremely true. The lightweight texture is incredibly hydrating and gives off a dewy, satin-like finish that stays that way for not just hours but days, I swear. If I apply it at night, I'll wake up looking like a newborn baby (being dramatic here, but only by a little bit)."
"I'm grateful to work in an office where a bag full of Dior lip products could show up on the communal free table, which is exactly what happened on a random Wednesday last month. I tested several shades before landing on Berry, a raspberry hue that has since become my new go-to lip product. It goes on like a hydrating, dewy lip balm but is tinted with a good amount of pigment, so for me it has replaced the need for a lip liner, lipstick, and lip gloss—a true three-in-one."
Emma Walsh, Beauty Editor, Branded Content
"This delightfully sparkly, aqua-colored mask is the ultimate five-minute facial in a jar. The powerful trio of exfoliants (including pineapple enzymes, bamboo, and AHAs) make my skin radiant and baby-soft."
"Finding a mineral sunscreen that blends effortlessly into my skin can be a challenge, so this creamy, cloud-like sunscreen feels like a gift from the heavens. I also love the tinted version—between the texture and tint, it gives a beautiful blurring effect."
"This is one of the only vitamin C serums I've tried that doesn’t irritate my skin. The 10% concentration of vitamin C gives glowy, luminous results while still being gentle enough for my sensitive complexion. PS: If you want a budget-friendlyier option, the Bubble Daydream serum is an excellent pick."
"I’m not kidding when I say this brow gel transforms my face. I have pretty thin brows, so I didn't think brow gel would make that much of a difference for me—but wow. My sparse brows look fuller and fluffier and have a more defined arch with no filling in. I can't go a day without applying this."
"If you’re looking for a fragrance that smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 but you don’t feel like spending over $300, I’ve got you. This $85 formula is a blend of jasmine and amber with a hint of spice—the same notes that give Baccarat Rouge its musky, gourmand je ne sais quoi."
"I just started using a whipped body butter and quickly realized I'd been doing it wrong this whole time. The texture of this under-$10 one is simply to die for—it’s airy yet velvety and so deeply moisturizing. I love the indulgent black cherry scent, but there's a range of gourmand, fruity, and floral scents to choose from."
"If you want to smell like a beautiful, lush rose garden every time you apply hand cream (basically every 10 minutes for me), you need this chic little hand cream. It’s a mainstay in my handbag. I'm hoping they make this a perfume."
"I'm always trying to up my protein and have tried countless plant-based formulas, but none of them beat this NSF-certified protein powder. If Olympic athletes use it, you bet it's going to be a part of my daily routine. Both the vanilla spice and chocolate flavors are so yummy. I whizz it up in my blender along with some frozen greens, banana, and cacao powder, and it's the perfect post-workout treat!"
"Upon first sip of this fruity effervescent elixir, I was in love. Yes, it's Barbie pink and tastes like strawberries, which is appealing enough on its own, but it's also brimming with health benefits. With glutathione, ashwagandha, magnesium, and more, it helps with everything from PMS symptoms to gut health to managing cortisol levels. This is officially the perfect mix-in for girls-night mocktails."
Michaela Bushkin, Fashion Director, Branded Content
"A makeup artist used this product on me last week, and I ordered it on the spot. At first I thought it was a highlighter because she used it on my cheekbones to give me an extra glow, but it's actually a hydrating skin protectant than can be used to moisturize lips, knuckles, elbows, or any other dry skin. She also mentioned it works well to slick your eyebrows up in a pinch. 'What can't this product do?' is the question we should be asking. I don't know how I lived without it in my beauty arsenal before, but I certainly won't be without it going forward."
"Just in time for spring break, Loving Tan launched a two-hour self-tanner, which is amazing news for impatient people like me or anyone who needs a glow in a pinch. My favorite part—other than the solution itself, which always results in the perfect bronze hue—is that it comes in a travel size so I can take it on my actual vacation to reapply mid-trip."
"I've been loyal to Westman Atelier's Illuminator Drops for the past year because the glow is so, so good, but it also comes at a high price tag. I'm not saying it isn't worth it, but I felt confident I could find a less-expensive alternative to throw into the mix. With a few recommendations to back it up, I decided on Glossier's version of the product, and I'm quite impressed. It adds the same dewy radiance to my makeup look, whether worn underneath or on top of my foundation, but for only $30 a bottle. I will note that it only comes in one shade unlike the Westman product, but I did like the color of it, so I'm not complaining."
