It's Giving Wealth—These 13 Nest Perfumes Smell Like Old Money in the Best Way
In recent years, I've made it a point to improve all facets of my beauty collection to simplify my morning and evening routines (which, as you may imagine, can be extensive as a beauty editor) but also invest in products that will add touches of elegance to my day. While I love using my overflowing fragrance cabinet as a catalyst of inspiration, it can also serve as a reminder of how much I've spent and how few of the bottles I finish and rebuy in mere months. However, I think finding the right signature scents for the things you do and the places you go exudes elegance in a way no pair of limited-edition heels by a designer brand could because scents are all about lived and dreamed experiences.
While one unique scent can transport its wearer to the candlelit restaurant scene of their first date with a significant other, another may inspire a wonderfully lazy day spent lounging on a white, sandy beach with no worries beyond achieving the perfect tan. Is there really anything in the beauty space that offers such a rich array of possibilities without requiring you to hop on a jet? It's made even better by the fact that scoring said fragrance doesn't have to result in breaking the bank. One of my favorite brands, Nest, offers a selection of versatile perfumes and perfume oils that will completely transform your idea of what wealth smells like.
Keep scrolling for a look into the Nest fragrances in my beauty collection, plus a few of my favorite candles and reed diffusers from the brand that can bring chic scents to your home.

1. Indigo Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: cool spices
Key Notes: Italian lemon, orange bergamot, Moroccan tea, Kashmir wood, wild figs
One thing I can always count on from Nest is a new, memorable scent to add to my collection. Nest founder Laura Slatkin felt inspired to build a fragrance around Moroccan tea after experiencing the aroma during a visit to a Bond Street tea shop. The end result is a scent that combines the note with zesty citrus, Kashmir wood, and sweet wild figs.
Customer Review: "Warm and spicy, with soft florals and berry jam. This fragrance has it all! I have been obsessed with this perfume for years and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I can justify wearing it any day, any season, on any occasion. I get more compliments when I wear this perfume than I do with any of the others in my collection. Just buy it!"
2. Wild Poppy Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: fruity floral
Key Notes: rose de Grasse, Himalayan jasmine, pear, raspberry, apricot
Before I was introduced to Nest's Wild Poppy, I had yet to experience a fragrance that accurately captured the softness of the poppy flower. Inspired by the flower's evolution from a green bud to a finished bloom, this fruity-floral perfume combines notes of powdery fresh rose de Grasse with a whisper of Himalayan jasmine, pear, raspberry, and apricot. In other words, it's the perfect choice for someone who loves elevated florals with an unexpected kick.
Customer Review: "I cannot begin to explain how much I love this brand. This specific scent is so fresh and elegant. I don't usually like floral perfumes, but this one is so unique. I've never even come across a poppy perfume before, and I won't be going back. This perfume lasts me all day (10 hours) and it is worth every penny I paid!"
3. Vanilla Bourbon Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: warm gourmand
Key Notes: vanilla bourbon absolute, orange bitters, brown sugar, night-blooming jasmine, soft musk
Bourbon is arguably one of the most highly debated fragrance notes, but to me, there's no question that its presence in this warm gourmand scent takes it to new heights. The enticing scent is the result of vanilla bourbon blended with sophisticated orange bitters, inviting night-blooming jasmine, and soft musk. It's my idea of the perfect perfume to wear during New York City nights spent at lounges in the presence of the city's greatest jazz musicians.
Customer Review: "I have been looking for my signature scent for a while and I think I have officially found it! Warm scents of vanilla that actually lasts pretty much all day. The dry down still give a warm sugary smell that is not overwhelming."
4. Black Tulip Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: warm floral
Key Notes: Japanese violet, Indonesian jasmine, pink pepper, black amber plum, black cherry
I'm a fan of displaying fresh tulips on my coffee table and my fireplace mantle, so why wouldn't I treat myself to this stunning fragrance? While it doesn't feature tulip, the essence of the flower is re-created in this chypre perfume using notes of sensual Japanese violet, Indonesian jasmine, rich patchouli, and fresh pink peppercorn. At the base of the scent is a blend of black amber plum and black cherry for a memorable dark, fruity accord.
Customer Review: "I normally gravitate towards sweet almost sugary fragrances but I wanted to try something with more of a grown-up, floral vibe and I'm so glad I purchased this. It's such a unique and romantic scent. The violet and jasmine are perfect with the spiciness of the pink pepper and just a hint of sweetness from the plum. It's easily become a new favorite of mine."
5. Wisteria Blue Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: warm floral
Key Notes: French wisteria essence, Bulgarian rose, imperial jasmine, watery notes
Since I wish wisteria bloomed year-round, I'm so glad I came across this elegant scent when I did. Nest's ethereal floral fragrance, Wisteria Blue, mixes watery notes with the essence of fresh wisteria as well as rich Bulgarian rose and imperial jasmine. While I can't capture the magic of seeing the flower blooming outside of my apartment in the dead of winter, I can, at least, bring the magic to life with a few spritzes of this at the beginning of my day.
Customer Review: "It reminds me of reading an old book under a wisteria tree by a bubbling brook and a beautiful meadow. The subtle hints of rose are paired well with jasmine and wisteria. It's my new favorite fragrance and I highly recommend it for floral scent lovers. I especially love that it's not overpowering if you are around people that do not love floral scents. It pairs perfectly with my favorite coconut body butter."
6. Sunkissed Hibiscus
Scent Type: fresh solar
Key Notes: golden amber, white florals, orange blossom, frangipani
I'm obsessed with powdery, fresh notes that remind me of the English countryside for most of the year, but once warm weather hits, I'm all about finding the perfect blend of playful fruity notes and tropical florals in my fragrances. Sunkissed Hibiscus is one of the few I wear year in and year out since it's a radiant solar scent that just gets better with wear. Crafted with bright frangipani and orange blossom set against warm golden amber to capture the luminous hibiscus, this perfume is sure to win you over.
Customer Review: "This was a blind buy based on the amazing reviews it had and it did not disappoint! It is the perfect summer fragrance if you're into tropical/beachy vibes. This is a long day at the beach, summer vacation, sun-kissed, bronze skin covered in tanning oil, a tropical drink in hand, beachy waves, warm breeze, island type vibes. It's fresh, but a bit floral and sexy from the frangipani and comforting from the golden amber. Definitely a must try for the summer!"
7. Golden Nectar Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: floral gourmand
Key Notes: golden orchid, sueded amber, vanilla, musk
Have you ever wondered what the mythological food of the Greek gods, ambrosia, smells and tastes like? While I can't prove it, I have a good feeling Golden Nectar is as close as we'll come to being able to experience it ourselves. The floral-gourmand fragrance blends the warmth of golden orchid and sueded amber with notes of creamy vanilla and velvet musk for a scent that's beyond seductive. It's no wonder Slatkin looked to the most alluring leader, Cleopatra, for inspiration.
Customer Review: "I absolutely love this fragrance so does my husband. This is a very soft warm romantic scent. The drydown is a warm musk with an amber & vanilla undertone. It's a very mildly sweet and definitely sexy alluring fragrance that could be worn year round. Love this perfume. I definitely NEED the full size bottle. It's also very long lasting."
8. Lychee Rose Eau de Parfum
Scent Type: fruity floral
Key Notes: rose absolute, fresh lychee, pink champagne, raspberry
While visiting the Hawaiian islands a few years ago, I fell in love with the taste and smell of lychee. When I arrived back stateside, I set out to find the perfect lychee perfume I could wear whenever I longed for the sandy beaches and well-stocked farmers markets of Uahu. Nest's Lychee Rose has been the closest I can get to being back without hopping on a plane with vibrant rose absolute accented by sparkling pink champagne, sweet lychee, and a hint of raspberry.
Customer Review: "I never use up my perfume but I love this scent so much I used up the whole travel size and am making this my daily scent! It's sweet, floral, fruity and complex. Light and unique. I love it!"
9. Balinese Coconut Perfume Oil
Scent Type: fresh solar
Key Notes: creamy coconut, tropical tiare blossom, salted musk
Balinese Coconut is proof that elevated earthy scents exist at an affordable price. Upon first spritz, I mostly picked up on the fragrance's notes of tropical tiare blossom and salted musk rather than the presence of creamy coconut, but there's something so grounding about the act of spritzing this scent before heading out to take on my busy days. It's become one of the best parts of my beauty routine.
Customer Review: "I wasn't expecting to buy a coconut perfume but this one is a vacation at a tropical resort with the coconut trees and plant life drifting in on the breeze. I found it lightweight, long lasting and not a sunscreen scent. It's a very relaxing perfume. I wasn't overly fond of the Nest oils in the beginning but this one has changed my mind and I will try others."
10. Turkish Rose Perfume Oil
Scent Type: classic floral
Key Notes: dewy Turkish rose, black plum, saffron, blonde woods
I'm a believer in the idea that you can never have too many rose fragrances on hand, and this delicate rose perfume isn't one you'll want to miss out on. Inspired by the legendary rose fields of Turkey, this perfume oil combines rose, sticky-sweet black plum, and blonde woods. The rose extract is blended with baobab oil for a formula that instantly melts into the skin for a long-lasting scent.
Customer Review: "Absolutely love this perfume! I have it in the body mist as well but prefer the rollerball as it's small enough I can take it with me everywhere. What I really love about this perfume is that the scent is long lasting and it has such a sweet floral scent that isn't too overpowering. I’ve used it about a year now and still get compliments about how great the perfume smells. I feel like I can't live without this rollerball!"
11. Seville Orange Perfume Oil
Scent Type: fresh citrus
Key Notes: orange zest, pink grapefruit, mandarin, neroli, cedarwood
In my opinion, many orange scents can be hit-or-miss when your goal is to achieve a scent profile that exudes wealth. However, the Seville Orange Perfume Oil is one of the few fresh citrus perfumes that can easily be worn year-round and layered with your other favorite scents thanks to the presence of orange zest, grapefruit, and neroli blossom in its formulation. If you're as obsessed with this one as I am, you'll also want to pick up the scent in its body-mist form.
Customer Review: "Beautiful, lovely scent. I don't tend to love super sweet and especially don't love super floral fragrances, so when I needed a new one for the warmer weather, I'm so glad I found this! The staying power is great and I couldn't be happier."
12. Indian Jasmine Perfume Oil
Scent Type: classic floral
Key Notes: Indian jasmine absolute, red berries, sparkling bergamot, pink pepper
Another Nest perfume oil I've been stocking up on for as long as I can remember is the Indian Jasmine Perfume Oil. The classic floral scent stands out to me because it fuses one of my favorite notes (Indian jasmine) with bright red berries, sparkling bergamot, and spicy pink pepper. Jasmine is a sacred flower cultivated in India that's regarded as a symbol of love, devotion, and purity. There's nothing purer than my adoration for a timeless jasmine fragrance like this one.
Customer Review: "Such a gorgeous floral scent. I was nervous the oil wouldn't provide a substantial amount of scent that would last but I was wrong. If you apply this on your wrists, behind ears, and on chest, you will be set for the whole day. Not too over powering and perfect if you love clean scents."
13. Santa Barbara Strawberry Perfume Oil
Scent Type: fruity floral
Key Notes: strawberry, dewy pink peony, solar woods
When I'm first introduced to a strawberry scent, my initial assumption is that I won't like it. However, it's versatile fruity scents like Nest's newest launch—Santa Barbara Strawberry—that always leave me wondering why I'm so quick to judge fragrances. It features notes of luscious, sun-kissed strawberry blended with dewy pink peony (my favorite flower) and warm solar woods. In fact, I'm calling it now: This will be a popular summer scent come June.
Customer Review: "Finally, a fruity perfume that really smells of the fruit in its name. I've purchased fruity fragrances both more and less expensive than Nest & they never smell like the fruit, and actually lean towards being repulsive. But this Nest New York Santa Barbara Strawberry Perfume Oil is perfection! A sophisticated scent in its own right; while still grasping the true essence of strawberry. It is so good!"
