These Are My Absolute Favorite Sports Bras for Every Workout, Hands Down
For a long time, I absolutely hated wearing sports bras. They were so tight, not very easy to move in, and taking them off was a nightmare. But in recent years, the powers that be (aka activewear brands) have designed sports bras to be a lot more comfortable and stylish. There are so many popular sports bras other than the basic racerback: hook-and-eye closure ones, strappy-back pieces, one-shoulder tops, and longline bras. The latter has become my absolute favorite and a staple in my workout wardrobe.
You see, I've recently embraced working out with just a sports bra on and no tank top. I used to marvel at people in my studio classes who could just work out with just a sports bra. For me, I was always self-conscious about my body—about how my gut and "rolls" looked when I just had a sports bra on. Plus, I liked a little bit more coverage than what a regular one could offer. So I always wore a tank as an extra layer, but as I've been working on getting more comfortable and confident in my body and how I look, I've decided to say "Eff it" and flaunt my cutest sports bras.
The longline pieces have been crucial to my new outlook on activewear. Because they're longer than normal sports bras and can sit just a few inches above my belly button, I get the right amount of coverage that I want for my midriff, but I still get to show some skin and feel a little sexy during my workout. I also like wearing them post-workout because it doesn't feel like I'm baring too much at the grocery store or at brunch with friends. I truly think they look flattering on everyone.
