Mark My Words: Every Fashion Girl Will Buy These Boots This Autumn

As someone who is perpetually cold and hasn't been blessed with a hand that's steady enough to achieve the perfect pedicure, I can't wait for boot season. There's nothing quite as satisfying as slipping into a pair of boots for the first time, taking a look in the mirror and marvelling at how cool they make your basic jeans-and-jumper outfits look. As such, I've already got a boot wish list as long as my arm, and it's only August.

At the top of my list is a pair of lace-up boots. Since last winter, when By Far's Becca boots decorated the feet of every influencer I follow, and I've found myself pining after all the Victoriana-inspired ankle-grazers I missed out on. However, patience is a virtue, and after By Far's sellout success in 2018, I was sure there would be a plethora of chic lace-up boots to choose from in 2019. Well, it turns out I was right.

It's only just the start of autumn, but already, there are so many brilliant lace-up boots to choose from. Zara's blue calf-length pair have been a hit amongst fashion editors, while the likes of Manu Atelier's colour-block iterations have caught the attention of countless influencers.

Their classic aesthetic means they'll look equally as sleek styled with prim midi skirts and minidresses as they will with refined tailoring. I have my eye firmly fixed on (yep, you guessed it) Zara's white almond-toe pair, but when they look this good, I'm hardly choosy.

Much like last year, I doubt these beauties will be sticking around for long, so be sure to keep scrolling to see how influencers are wearing them, then proceed to shop the best lace-up boots 2019 has to offer before they inevitably sell out.
