I Just Went Nuts in J.Crew's Shoe Section—21 Pairs I Can't Believe I Found
Unless you've been living under a rock for all of 2023, you're probably aware that J.Crew is the brand of the moment. With the arrival of Olympia Gayot, the new head of womenswear design, came a renaissance for the Americana brand that dominated the basics world in the '90s. However, it's largely been the retailer's clothing additions that have garnered praise, with Gayot's elevated suiting, timeless dresses, and outfit-making jackets all garnering attention on TikTok and beyond. The shoes, however, have wrongly remained slept on.
To prove it, I went through every page of shoes on J.Crew's site, hand-picking the best of what's on display. But don't assume it's all ballet flats and loafers, which the brand does extremely well. In addition to its in-house offering, J.Crew stocks a laundry list of beloved shoe brands, from Birkenstock to New Balance, and all their best sellers are in stock. Below, shop all that J.Crew has in the way of can't-miss footwear.
Yes, they sell Birkenstocks at J.Crew, and yes, you need this big-buckle pair.
The color of these flats makes them look more expensive than they really are.
I already convinced my coworker Ana to buy these. Ww will report back with outfit pics.
You could tell people you bought these in a tiny shop in Mallorca, and I don't think anyone would know the difference.
