The Best Fitness Gear You Can Buy on Amazon—All Under $30
Honestly, what would we do without the convenience of Amazon? When I did the cross-country move from New York City to Los Angeles, it was game-changing to be able to order my moving supplies to my apartment (and with free shipping through Prime to make it sweeter). Anyone who's transported moving boxes from the store to the subway to a walk-up (and then repeated the process when you realize you didn't get enough boxes) will understand how monumental this was for me.
While I was reading the reviews of various brands of moving boxes (who knew there were so many?), I discovered that AmazonBasics carries affordable and highly rated fitness gear. If you don't know, AmazonBasics is the retailer's house brand that carries everything from tech accessories to office supplies to even mattresses. If you felt so inclined, you could create your own home gym with dumbbells, medicine balls, foam rollers, and yoga mats with just a few clicks. So to make it easier for you, I've rounded up some of the best-reviewed gear. Take a look at the list below.
A set of dumbbells will come in handy if you can't make it to the gym. This set of two-, three-, and five-pound dumbbells comes with a stand so you can keep them tucked away in a corner or closet. One reviewer says the best thing about this buy is it's "a lot cheaper than any local sports or supermarket store," and warns that the stand is a bit flimsy but gets the job done.
Just thinking about my foam roller makes me feel so much more relaxed. I love using mine to massage my back when it feels tight or sore, but you can also use it for stretches and as part of your workout routine. (Some trainers suggest using it before and after your exercise.) This one comes in four different colors.
These colorful bands are versatile and can be used for chin-ups, pull-ups, biceps curls, stretching, and more. The bands run the gamut in weight resistance and width—like this one that's a $13 buy that has a resistance of 30 to 60 pounds.
I have a love-hate relationship with medicine balls because A) I associate them with hard-as-hell core workouts, but B) I feel so accomplished after I use them. You can work out your entire body with one, so it's good to keep for at-home exercises. One reviewer says, "It is the EXACT quality of medicine balls you'll find in commercial gyms."
Use this exercise rope for all-body strength training—you can work your hands, arms, shoulders, back, abs, core, and legs.
This exercise bench won't take up too much space but it features a durable steel frame.
Made of soft and durable high-density TPE, this yoga mat will get you through any type of exercise routine.
If you want to add an extra challenge to your usual workout, put on these ankle/wrist weights. Or use them when you're talking a walk around the neighborhood.
Work your abs with this roller. The handles offer a secure grip and it comes with a knee pad for added comfort.
This beginner kettlebell is small enough for a home gym and sturdy enough to use for weight training. Plus, the bright vinyl coating helps to protect floors, reduce noise, and prevent corrosion.
These lightweight, durable gliders are essential for anyone who wants to work on core-strengthening exercises.
This board can help improve core strength, coordination, posture, and balance. It is suitable for a wide range of exercises including push-ups, plank, standing balance poses, and targeted workouts for strengthening specific muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints.
Jump ropes aren't just for gym class. Keeping one of these handy can help you quickly integrate high-intensity cardio training into any workout.
When used properly, this lightweight and portable exercise roller wheel can help strengthen and tighten the entire core.
Need to punch it out after a long day? This speed bag is great for getting an intense upper-body workout and is easy to add to your home gym.
These weights are adjustable and come with a sturdy storage case.
If you recently bought a treadmill or exercise bike, don't forget to protect your floors with a mat. You can also use it for general aerobics.
You can use this bar for tricep dips, knee raises, leg raises, back rows, and other exercises. It's durable, too, with a 661-pound weight capacity.
These water-resistant, easy-to-clean tiles provide a non-slip surface for your workouts.
