I'm a Picky Shopper, and These Under-$100 Finds Have My Approval
Let me start by saying this is not your average, under-$100 roundup—I’ve spent hours making sure of that. Rather, these are the affordable finds that I wouldn’t just recommend to others but would actually wear myself. And, as some of you may already know, I’m extremely picky when it comes to that, but I like to think it’s a good thing for the most part.
So what should you expect below? Definitely a lot of basics as those are the backbones of simple-yet-cool style, not too much color but at least a few fun items, a sprinkling of trend pieces, and a handful of elegant accessories that look way more expensive than their price tags let on. If that all sounds satisfactory, which I hope it does, just keep scrolling to get started.
I'm very into layered-look sweaters right now and this Mango version is among my favorites.
Even from Zara, I would have guessed this bag was way more expensive.
A leather shirt is practically an essential this season.
There's a reason Topshop's affordable jeans have a cult following.
I'd style this with a similar sweater and black kitten-heeled mules.
Still obsessed with gold chain necklaces.
Everyone needs at least one fun, party dress, and this one is low-risk, high-reward.
In case you didn't know, I'm obsessed with cardigans right now.
How I plan to look semi-normal when it starts to rain and snow regularly in NYC this fall and winter.
Have you heard flannels are back? I suggest going up a size in this to get that cool, oversize look.

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
