I spend a lot of time perusing a variety of stores and e-commerce sites while sourcing fresh finds to recommend across my various stories. While I routinely turn to the new arrivals sections, I always make sure to take a courtesy sweep through sales departments to find those extra-special gems. And yes, there is a group of shops I always seem to find the best deals.

I'm sharing the list of some of my favorite stores for you below. You'll notice that the edit includes everything from shops that stock affordable, yet expensive-looking items to places that have incredible designer deals.

Keep scrolling for more, including some of the sale items that get a big yes from me.

Nordstrom

I had to kick off this list with Nordstrom. While the retailer has larger sales moments throughout the year, it consistently has a solid assortment in the always-present sale section. You can often find everything from Levi's to cashmere on discount.

Italist

Italist has some of the best discounts on current designer merchandise year-round. The retailer is currently having two sales—75% FW 22/23 and up to 45% S/S 23. It's also to note that the retailer is always adding new brands to the roster, like Chanel and Chrome Hearts recently.

Shopbop

You can find those editor-favorite items at a serious discount in the Shopbop sale department.

Saks Off Fifth

I also consistently find fantastic designer deals both in-store and online at Saks Off Fifth. The retailer actually just dropped a ton of top-notch items from brands like Cult Gaia.

J.Crew

I always have my eye on J.Crew's new items, but the sale section is not to sleep on!

Mango

Looking for on-trend pieces that skew on the more affordable side? It's all about Mango's sale and clearance department.
