21 Fall Dresses You Need to Shop Now
This fall is all about dresses, but not just any dresses. The season has brought with it some of the chicest cold-weather looks we’ve seen in a while. While your legs might be bare, we’re tricking some of our favorite dress silhouettes into being seasonally appropriate by way of new textures, more covered silhouettes, and the like. Sure, you can always layer up on top of that sundress you spent all summer in, but why not indulge in a few of the fall trends you’re about to see everywhere?
As we look forward to the season ahead, there are three fall dress styles we love above the rest: velvets, turtleneck silhouettes, and long-sleeve wrap dresses. Shop some of our favorite fall dress styles below, all cold-weather takes on the looks we’ve spent the past few months rocking in the heat.
Velvets
Few materials feel quite as luxe as velvet, and dresses are no exception. While always a great night-out option, designers have turned to simple slip-dress silhouettes this season as well to make the trend more daytime-friendly.
Long-Sleeve Wraps
The wrap dress was our ultimate go-to this past summer, so we're not quite ready to give it up. Try an iteration with longer sleeves to make it more seasonally appropriate, and you'll be able to keep wearing that throw-on-and-go style long into the fall and winter months.
Turtlenecks
There's nothing as cozy as a great turtleneck sweater, but for those days when you just want to wear a minidress, whether body-conscious or oversize and slouchy, consider a knit turtleneck silhouette.
Your cold-weather wardrobe has never looked better.
