Juicy, Decadent, and Devastatingly Cool—This Sabrina Carpenter–Approved Scent Is Taking Over 2025

Soft, subtle, your skin-but-better scents have been trending up until this point, but it seems the tide is turning with the arrival of spring. Now, celebrities and cool girls are swapping them out for a fruitier fragrance. I'm talking about cherry perfumes. It's only natural, seeing as other cherry beauty trends have gone viral on Instagram and TikTok—namely, chocolate cherry hair and black cherry lipstick.
Several top beauty brands either A) have best-selling cherry perfumes in their lineup or B) have recently launched new ones. (Sabrina Carpenter's fragrance brand is a good example of the latter.) Whether they smell bright and juicy because they're dialed up with other fruit notes or warm and smooth thanks to the addition of vanilla and sandalwood, cherry perfumes are modern, elevated, and just plain cool. Ahead, see eight editor-approved options that are taking over in 2025.

Best Overall Cherry Perfume: Tom Ford Lost Cherry
Notes: Black cherry, tonka bean, almond, Turkish rose, jasmine sambac
A classic. An icon. A masterpiece. Tom Ford's Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum debuted in 2018 and became an instant editor favorite. Instead of the sickly sweet cherry perfumes of yesteryear, Lost Cherry has complexity and subtly. A bold note of black cherry is grounded in warm tonka bean and almond, while floral notes like Turkish rose and jasmine sambac give it a traditionally feminine lean. It's warm, sultry, and alluring, like the cool girl who sits in the corner booth at your favorite bar.
Customer review: "I’ve been wearing Lost Cherry for a few years, and it remains my absolute favorite. From the first spray, the scent is rich and intoxicating—juicy cherries, warm almonds, and a touch of boozy sweetness. It’s deep, sophisticated, and perfectly balanced between fruity and sensual."
Best Affordable Cherry Perfume: Fine'ry Not Another Cherry
Notes: Wild cherry, Turkish rose, almond amaretto
Tom Ford's Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum is $255 for one ounce, which is expensive, to say the least. While I think it's worth the investment, sometimes, it's nice to shop for a scent that won't break the bank. In that case, I recommend Fine'ry's Not Another Cherry Eau de Parfum. It's just as sultry, with similar notes of Turkish rose and almond amaretto (the latter gives it a slightly boozy lean). It's no wonder the brand describes it as "the irresistible bite of an amaretto-soaked cherry. It's a sophisticated scent for costing less than $30 a pop.
Customer review: "I really wanted a Tom Ford and this one literally is so close to it. It’s amazing. It makes me happy. It’s like something I’ve never had for a long time."
Best Clean Cherry Perfume: The 7 Virtues Cherry Ambition
Notes: Cherry, saffron, vanilla, sandalwood, candied agave, amber suede, guaiac wood
This perfume is named Cherry Ambition for a reason. It's an aromatherapeutic blend created to "manifest your desires" and be a real-life "scent of success." While the cherry note is bold and up-front, it's complemented by a spicy edge of saffron and warmth from the vanilla, sandalwood, amber suede, and guaiac wood notes. The best part? It plays well with other perfumes from the brand, so you can use it to cocktail your own signature scent.
As with the brand's other scents, Cherry Ambition contains between 22% and 30% fragrance oil, which is double the industry standard and means it lasts all day long. It's also Leaping Bunny certified, vegan, and cruelty-free. Plus, the packaging is recyclable and made from sustainably harvested forests.
Customer review: "I was worried it would smell too smoky or powdery, as cherry perfumes often do, but the top note is just fresh cherries. I love layering it with a vanilla body spray to get my signature scent."
This is truly one of my all-time favorite cherry perfumes.
Best Celebrity Cherry Perfume: Sabrina Carpenter Cherry Baby
Notes: Cherry cosmo, glazed apple, plum nectar, brown sugar, poppy, peony, dark chocolate, vanilla orchid, cashmere wood, musk, patchouli, amber
This perfume is like a cherry-chocolate dessert, bottled. Full of sweet, edible-inspired notes like glazed apple, plum nectar, brown sugar, and dark chocolate, it's unapologetically sweet, rich, and decadent. I wouldn't expect anything less from Sabrina Carpenter.
Customer review: "Smells great! Smells like red wine and cherries with a hint of chocolate. The chocolate is kinda hard to distinguish but if you want a fruity, sultry perfume, this is it."
Best Sweet Cherry Perfume: Clean Reserve Whipped Cherry
Notes: Wild cherry, pineapple, coconut water, mimosa, almond blossom, praline, vanilla cream
If you like scents that whisk you away to a luxury vacation at first sniff, you'll love Clean Reserve's Whipped Cherry Eau de Parfum. The Tropical fruit notes—pineapple, coconut water, and mimosa—shine through. It reminds me of a poolside piña colada—fresh, bright, fruity, and topped with a cherry.
Customer review: "This is so beautiful! This is the fragrance that makes people ask what you are wearing. Imagine a burst of juicy cherries with a hint of pineapple melting into a cloud of whipped cream. The sweetness of praline makes it absolutely irresistible. It’s playful and yummy but then it deepens into something mysterious and it makes me feel so sexy."
Best Warm Cherry Perfume: Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry 48
Notes: Black cherry, raspberry, rose Damascena, praline, palo santo, guaiac wood, patchouli
I'm a sucker for warm, solar fragrances (i.e., scents that evoke the warmth of sunshine), so it's no wonder I count Kayali's Lovefest Burning Cherry Eau de Parfum among my favorite ones. There's something about the combination of fruit notes (cherry and raspberry) with rose and the creaminess of praline that keeps me coming back for more. Add in woody, almost smoky notes of palo santo and patchouli (hence the Burning Cherry name), and I'm hooked.
Customer review: "Good God Man! This perfume is so intoxicating. I feel like heaven, it creates feelings of euphoria. It made my anxiety go away instantly. I will repurchase this forever no joke. It's just for me."
Best Citrus Cherry Perfume: Who Is Elijah Cherry Fiesta
Notes: Cherry, mandarin, pear, anise, white florals, vanilla, benzoin, green patchouli
I love citrus scents almost as much as I love the warm, solar ones. (The 7 Virtues Clementine Dream Eau de Parfum is one of my all-time favorites.) So it's no surprise I love this cherry-citrus combo from Australian fragrance house Who Is Elijah. The brand creates minimalist, modern scents, and this one is no exception. The cherry note mingles with bright mandarin and juicy pear for a fresh, breezy take on a classic cherry scent at the start. After a few moments, you detect the anise and white florals. Finally, upon the dry-down, you get creamy vanilla and earthy patchouli.
Customer review: "I love this scent. I first tried it in-store and immediately had to buy it. The scent lasted all day & I have received many compliments asking what I’m wearing!!"
Best Floral Cherry Perfume: Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom
Notes: Cherry blossom, bergamot, violet leaves, lemon, rosewood
Okay, so this isn't technically a cherry perfume; it's a cherry blossom perfume. Still, I think it's a good option for people who might not love traditional cherry perfumes but want to dip their toes in the trend. I also think it's a good option for people who love classic floral fragrances. The sweet, springy note of cherry blossom mingles with uplifting bergamot, fresh violet, bright lemon, and finally, a grounding note of rosewood. It's light, romantic, and modern and makes me think of walking through a blooming English park in the springtime.
Customer review: "I am someone who is in love with the aroma of cherry blossoms, and I'm so impressed with how well Jo Malone was able to capture & instill that fresh floral take of a Sakura in this one. I think it's beautiful if you too enjoy the smell of Sakura Cherry Blossoms. I also love layering this with woody scents, and together, they really tell a story of being amongst nature."
