I'm Spending All My Money on One Item (and Have No Regrets)

I love shopping, but I'm certainly not one to shell out an entire month's paycheck on an item I won't wear regularly. I always consider cost per wear when browsing online; it's a tactic that has helped me seriously edit my wardrobe down to timeless essentials I can wear season after season—and it's saved me a lot of money.
That means that when I do finally find a piece I wholeheartedly love (and can see myself wearing on repeat), I'm definitely not opposed to dishing out slightly more on it. Right now, I'm not ashamed to say I've been spending all my money on one menswear-inspired item… That's right, blazers are my current shopping obsession, and I have zero regrets about it.
The main reason I don't get any sort of buyer's remorse after a blazer purchase? The classic work staple is one I can wear outside of the office, too. It's one of the most versatile items in my closet, and it has already gotten serious mileage in the past few weeks. It's a top layer that adds just the right amount of polish (and warmth) to every outfit, and you can bet I'll be wearing it nonstop this winter.
Want to follow my lead? Ahead, I've rounded up the three blazer styles I can't get enough of this season—ones I have a strong feeling you're going to be obsessed with, as well.
The Oversized Blazer
Meet the ultimate versatile closet staple. Its oversize fit makes it feel slightly less formal and refined, so it's a great everyday piece. What's more is that you'll have no problem wearing it over a super-chunky sweater this winter.
This blazer isn't for the faint of heart. It's very oversize and has padded shoulders that ooze '80s vibes. Wear it open, or button it up and rock it as a dress.
This pinstriped blazer strikes the perfect balance between relaxed, edgy, and refined. Bonus: Just wait until you see the back of it.
Here's a simple, refined blazer with a slightly oversize fit. Its uncomplicated design makes it a great top layer to pair with all your closet staples, from floral prairie dresses to wide-leg denim trousers.
The Plaid Blazer
If you don't yet own a plaid blazer, you're seriously missing out. The checked pattern is so big for winter and adds '90s vibes to every outfit—Cher Horowitz, anyone?
This plaid blazer, rendered in 99% wool, is sure to keep you warm (and stylish) all winter long.
Test-drive the trend by scooping this (on-sale) plaid blazer. Style it with jeans or a leather pencil skirt; the styling options are limitless.
This houndstooth blazer comes with an optional belt. Wear it cinched at the waist for a more formfitting look, or leave home without it for a more relaxed feel.
The White Blazer
White blazers are a true investment piece—and for good reason. You can wear them with just about everything in your wardrobe, and they'll never go out of style. Plus, they're a slightly softer addition than a stark black version.
This white blazer is as warm as it is chic, making it the perfect investment piece for the wintertime.
Not your average blazer, but it's certain to become your new office go-to. It's elegant, but still has those popular, pajama-inspired elements to it.
This white blazer is currently in my shopping cart. It has the coolest asymmetric cut that takes its design to a new level of cool.
Next up, how to wear your newly-purchased blazer with a dress this season.
