Black Friday Is the Best Time to Buy Beauty—21 Deals I'm Bookmarking Now
If you're anything like me, you might find Black Friday and Cyber Monday a *little* overwhelming. Navigating the best deals that are cropping up left, right and centre can make it hard to know whether a discount is really a good one when it lands in your inbox. With so many beauty brands offering savings right now, it can be hard to decipher what the best Black Friday weekend (well, Black November month!) beauty deals really are. To save you from the incessant influx of deals bombarding you right now, I'll be taking one for the team and sussing out the best beauty deals to be had in 2024. Some deals are too good to have started already while others have been introduced early. I'll keep you posted on what's what, as they happen...
When Is Black Friday 2024?
This year, Black Friday falls on Friday 29 November, and you can expect deals across the whole weekend and into Cyber Monday, which falls on Monday 2 December. Our editors have been busy compiling the best of the Black Friday savings, whether it be clothing deals or beauty tools deals.
Which Beauty Deals Should I Buy in the Black Friday Sales?
First things first, there are things to consider when we're buying new products. Let's be honest: the beauty industry encourages us to buy more and more, and it can be tempting to go overboard when the latest hair tools or LED face mask goes on sale. But as a beauty editor, I try to advise people to buy less, especially around this time of the year.
In light of Black Friday this might be a controversial thing to say, but I encourage everyone to make considered purchases and only buy products that are suited to them and their needs. Buyer's remorse is real, and no one wants to be left with an expensive serum that doesn't work for them, right?
That being said, Black Friday is the time to strike if you've had your eye on a new beauty product or if you want to stock up on an old favourite. Either way now is the time to add to your basket. Below, I've rounded up the best beauty brands and products I hope to see in the Black Friday 2024 sales and I'll update this gallery when the discounts are confirmed.
Shop The Best Early Black Friday 2024 Beauty Deals
You can bet that my jaw dropped when I saw that Dyson has started its Black Friday deals early as of 30th October. You can save £100 on the Dyson Corrale Hair Straighteners. Tempted? Read our review on them first.
Team Who What Wear UK recently put microcurrent devices to the test and this came out as one of the best ones to give you a snatched effect. Foreo's microcurrent device targets the facial muscles to lift, sculpt and tone your skin at home.
As for stocking up my makeup bag during Black Friday, my pick would be the Ilia Skin Tint. I've lost count of the number of times I get compliments on my skin when I wear this. It lends a dewy, healthy glow to the skin with lightweight coverage—it's one of the best skin tints I've tried.
Shop The Beauty Deals I Hope To See in The Black Friday Beauty Sales 2024
Baccarat Rouge 540 fever is still high this year, and if you've had your eye on a bottle of the cult fragrance, Black Friday could be the time to strike and get a sizeable discount on the luxury perfume.
If you're looking to treat yourself or a loved one to the gift of bouncy blowouts every day, then the Dyson Airwrap is easily the best gift you could get them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a generous discount over Black Friday. Curious to learn more? Read our review of the Dyson Airwrap here.
I always wait for the Black Friday sales to stock up on my favourite serum ever: Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. This serum really is worth the hype and is loved by beauty editors and skincare lovers because it really works. It brightens pigmentation, boosts collagen and makes your skin glow. Hailey Bieber and Sienna Miller count themselves as fans, too.
One brand I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for in the Black Friday sales is Merit. It has become my go-to makeup brand for chic yet effortless makeup kits that give you a pulled-together look in under 10 minutes. I have my eyes on The Complexion Set, which comes with a huge saving of nearly £30, which includes the brand's complexion stick, blusher, bronzer, highlighter, makeup brush and the cult serum and moisturiser for the most natural-looking glow.
Currentbody has just released a new and improved version of its viral LED mask, and it's top of my wish list for Black Friday. It works to boost collagen production to plump fine lines, improve skin texture and give your complexion an amazing glow. Wondering if LED masks are worth the investment? See our guide to the best LED masks here.
Cyber Monday is the prime time to invest in hair tools, and GHD's Duet Style Hot Air Styler is a great investment if you love creating straight and sleek styles with minimal heat damage. Read our full review on this game-changing hair styler that takes your hair from wet to straight in one step.
If Glossier appears in the Black Friday sales this year, I'm taking the opportunity to stock up on a bottle of Glossier You—a perfume that always gets compliments. It also has two new versions of the iconic fragrance which you have to try.
I'll be treating myself to Color Wow's Dream Coat, a TikTok-viral treatment spray that I now cannot live without (seriously, read my review here). The could be a great time to buy if you're due to stock up, or want to try this wonder spray that makes hair frizz and humidity-proof.
Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask has become my go-to lip balm in winter. I've tried a couple of the flavours (the mango one? To die for) and next on my list is this chocolate flavour. Fingers crossed it will be in the Black Friday sales.
So many people swear by this eyelash growth serum, which delivers incredible results. It's an investment purchase for sure, so I'm bookmarking it for the Black Friday sales.
Commodity has become one of my favourite perfume brands, so I'm adding 'Milk' to my basket ahead of Black Friday. It has a creamy and smooth vanilla scent that lingers on the skin—it gets me so many compliments.
Looking to buy some scented gifts in the lead up to the festive season? Jo Malone London's Myrrh & Tonka is the perfect evening winter scent—think warm, vanilla-ry tonka that unfurls into mysterious myrrh.
If Elemis goes into the Black Friday sales, my personal choice would be to stock up on Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, which has become somewhat of a modern skincare icon for removing makeup. It's my desert-island beauty product which leaves the most beautiful glow on the skin after using. I stock up on a few on Black Friday every year.
Byredo doesn't typically do a Black Friday discount, but you'll often get a gift with purchase if you spend over a certain amount. I've bookmarked this incredible discovery set which I've told the entire Who What Wear UK team about. It contains 24 x 2ml vials of Byredo's most-loved scents, and it comes with a redeemable voucher to spend on any 50ml bottle once you've found your favourite. This is a no-brainer if you're thinking of buying a full-sized bottle anyway, and you'll have plenty of handbag fragrances for on-the-go top-ups. It makes an incredible gift for a fragrance fanatic too.
I need to top up on my favourite Tan Luxe tanning drops, so I'm waiting until Black Friday to stock up. These are by far the best tanning drops I've tried for a realistic healthy glow, and they come in both light-medium or medium-dark to suit your desired result and skin tone.
Another brand I'd be thrilled to see in the beauty deals this year is Medik8. The whole Who What Wear UK team is obsessed with Crystal Retinal (a Who What Wear Next in Beauty Award Winner, FYI). This retinal is amazing for addressing skin pigmentation, acne, fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage.
I will definitely be getting a new Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant during the Black Friday sales (whether it goes on sale or not). It's my skincare holy grail for the winter months, which hydrates lips, dry hands and cracked heels. Plus, a tube lasts forever.
