The 19 Beauty Looks From the 2022 BET Awards I Just Can't Stop Thinking About
The 2022 BET Awards were filled with sweeping, dramatic fashion, bold hair, and most importantly, stunning makeup looks that I'll most likely be thinking about for the rest of summer. The awards took place last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, with Taraji P. Henson as host and Sean "Diddy" Combs receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. I was more than impressed by stars such as Lizzo, Janelle Monàe, Chloe Bailey, and Queen Naija, who sported my favorite gowns of the night. But let's stay on topic. We're here to talk about every beauty look that equally caught my attention once I managed to tear my eyes away from the fashion. For all our favorite looks from the night, keep scrolling below to take a peak.
Taraji has a way with lipstick, period. This bold red lip paired with a nude and brown smoky eye is just *chef's kiss.*
Must-have beauty product: GXVE Beauty Xtra Sauce Longwear Vinyl Liquid Lipstick ($24)
Lizzo spiced things up a bit with a brown smoky eye and blue eyeliner. It made her dress really pop.
Must-have beauty product: Dior Crayon Eyeliner in Captivating Blue ($30)
Janelle could basically wear a brown sack with no makeup and still look incredible, but her high bun and orange-toned makeup here looked simply spectacular.
Must-have beauty product: Oribe Superfine Strong Hairspray ($42)
Normally, I wouldn't think such a bold, thick winged liner would work, but Chloe 100% proved me wrong here. It just works perfectly with the sharp brow and glossy lip.
Must-have beauty product: Ilia Clean Line Liquid Eyeliner ($28)
Halle opted for a thinner wing paired with a gold-and-bronze shadow look. It's equally as stunning and complements her features so well.
Must-have beauty product: Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeshadow in Overdraft ($19)
I'll never criticize a good nude look. Naija's dress is a sight to behold, and the decision to pair it with a creamy eye and glossy lip was spot-on.
Must-have beauty product: Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette ($29)
Another bold red lip, but this time from Teyana Taylor. She adds her own flair with a cool pair of shades.
Must-have beauty product: Fashion Fair Iconic Lipstick in Catfight ($26)
Eva's warm, bronze look just screams summer to me. Paired with sky-high false lashes, it's the perfect makeup to rock on a night out this season.
Must-have beauty product: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matte Bronzer ($56)
Normally, I'm not into wearing a lip liner sans lipstick, but Coi Leray does it so well I just might have to try it.
Must-have beauty product: Sephora Collection Lip Liner to Go ($6)
I'm obsessed with Alicia's gold-and-green shadow. The hair, makeup, and dress are giving me '70s disco vibes in the best way possible.
Must-have beauty product: Natasha Denona Mini Gold Eyeshadow Palette ($25)
Although Saucy Santana's blazer-and-fur-boots look was what initially caught my attention, I can't stop thinking about this electric-green shadow, either.
Must-have beauty product: Juvia's Place Rebel Quad in Army ($11)
Gia's purple shadow had to be my favorite look of the night. It's smoky, creamy, and magnetic all at the same time.
Must-have beauty product: BH Cosmetics Iggy Totally 2000's Shadow Palette ($9)
Muni Long went for a sharp brow and pinkish nude shadow this time around. The real showstopper, however, was her dress. All I can say is wow.
Must-have beauty product: ColourPop Nude Mood Eyeshadow Palette ($14)
I live for a good shimmer, and Tami Roman delivered in that department. Her sparkly gold look honestly stole the show.
Must-have beauty product: Lemonhead LA Spacepaste in Gildebeest ($22)
I love the bright tangerine shade of Dess Dior's blush. It just complements her skin tone so well.
Must-have beauty product: Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Matte Terracotta ($20)
Never underestimate the power of thick, bold false lashes. Lakeyah certainly didn't.
Must-have beauty product: House of Lashes Iconic Lite False Lashes ($12)
Brandee served a light pink metallic shadow look that really caught my eye. The shimmer added to the inner corners of her lids just makes the look that much more glorious.
Must-have beauty product: Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre Crystal Infused Eyeshadow in Blonde ($36)
Ebony's look is so classic and elegant. She's proof that a thick liner doesn't have to veer into raccoon territory.
Must-have beauty product: Chanel Le Crayon Khôl in Noir ($32)
Lisa's colorful shadow was another favorite look of mine. With vivid hues of green, peach, and fuchsia, it definitely stood out among the other looks from the night.
Must-have beauty product: Lime Crime XL II Eye & Face Palette ($58)
