I Just Planned a Beach Vacation—6 Chic Resortwear Trends I'm Definitely Packing
It's finally that time—tropical vacations are on the horizon (no pun intended). I finally booked my getaway, and of course, one of my preferred planning activities is creating my packing list. When it comes to beachwear, I'm always compiling exciting trends that are summer specific and versatile items I can rewear for various occasions.
This season, it's all about bright tones, graphic cutouts, and relaxed knitwear. A few of my favorite fashion follows have posted inspiration that has me excited to get shopping. I've rounded up the top six resortwear trends below and a few pieces I'm eyeing to add to my cart.
Colorful Ombré
Abstract, colorful prints were all over the runways, and they feel perfectly tropical. Ombré fabrics that almost feel tie-dye are prevalent in dresses and skirts for your evening drinks or dinners.
Citrus Hues
Fresh, citrusy hues feel light and lively for warmer climates. Vacation is the perfect excuse to wear bold, bright yellows and greens.
Cutouts
One of the year's resident naked-dressing trends is cutouts. Graphic shapes and unconventional cutouts are a welcome update to bodysuits, tops, and dresses for warm trips.
Crochet
A more classic beach trend is white and ivory crochet pieces. Whether a sheer dress or a simple miniskirt, these pieces are versatile as a cover-up or nighttime outfit.
Eyelet
Eyelet always feels fresh and sweet for warm-weather destinations. Flowy white blouses, swing dresses, and ruffled skirts are the ideal silhouettes for this floral-adjacent print.
Rainbow Stripes
This is definitely a mood-boosting trend, so what better place for it to shine than on vacation? Multicolor stripes are perfect for the beach whether in a fun knit dress, easy bodysuit, or statement handbag.
