On a Budget? Here Are Our Best Affordable Fashion and Beauty Picks of the Month
Welcome to On the Hunt, a monthly series in which we open the floor (or should we say DMs?) to our Instagram followers to ask their most burning fashion and beauty questions. We'll select up to five inquiries to answer and offer our advice with shopping picks to match.
It's safe to say that most of us have adjusted our budgets and spending habits in the last month or so and have become more thoughtful than ever about practicality, cost per wear, and categorizing items into needs versus wants. But spending less money doesn't necessarily have to be a dramatic sacrifice. If we shift our perspectives a bit, shopping smarter can actually be a fun challenge in finding the best items on the internet for the best prices. Whether it's affordable trends, skincare, basics, or loungewear we're currently on the hunt for, all it takes is a little internet research to find the best items, which, of course, is exactly what we've done here. Not to make things overly tempting, but these price-conscious items are seriously good.
We never knew how much loungewear we needed in our closets until we spent this much time at home. There are so many on-trend options out there at all different price points, and don't worry, we found some seriously stylish and affordable pieces.
Want the matching sweats? Say no more.
A pop of pink makes putting on loungewear feel significantly more fun.
Everyone on Instagram is wearing Calvin Klein sweats and bras at the moment.
We've tested countless beauty products and learned that high cost does not always equal high quality. In fact, there are tons of affordable skincare products on the market that perform just as well as their pricier competitors. These are a few favorites we find ourselves buying over and over again.
Several team members constantly rave about this affordable face oil from Amazon. It only takes a few uses to notice a major difference in your skin texture.
This moisturizing mask is well worth it's $22 price tag. It's one of our team's go-to products for soft skin, and it tends to last for months.
This cleanser is a bargain for the size, and it happens to work exceptionally well. We also love that it contains clean ingredients and no fragrances.
The soothing texture of this cleansing balm is reason enough to use it, but how well it removes dirt and makeup is the icing on the cake. There's a mini size available, too, but trust us when we say you'll regret that decision.
We can't get enough of this formula. Just add a couple drops to any moisturizer for an added hydration boost.
Whenever we're unsure about the longevity of a trend, we tend to look for affordable options. It all goes back to that idea of shopping smarter. These pieces hit the mark for trendy summer items and each rings in under $100.
Want to know if a top is on trend? Just look for puffy sleeves and smock details.
The leather-separates trend definitely includes faux leather, too—like this dreamy tie-waist jacket from H&M.
This retro-sandal shape is going to be the It-shoe of the summer, so this cute white pair is a sound investment.
This '70s print is just the right balance of whimsical and wearable.
The key to pulling off the lingerie-clothing trend is to keep the rest of the outfit casual.
Since staying home, we've been wearing our basics more than ever before (think T-shirts, sweatshirts, and tanks), so there's really never been a better time to stock up on some affordable options. From cardigans to button-downs, these picks will be in style for years to come.
One of the highest-reviewed basic T-shirts on the internet is currently on sale, so we recommend stocking up sooner than later.
We guarantee that ribbed tanks will be everyone's most-worn tops this summer.
Next, check out these 8 random trends that are definitely a thing right now.
