This $14 Bodywash Tricks Me Into Thinking I've Had the Most Luxurious Spa Day
I'll be totally honest, I'm not always the biggest fan of bodycare products with a lot of fragrance, but there are a few exceptions that I can't live without. One of them is EOS's viral cashmere vanilla body lotion (thanks TikTok). It's a no-brainer for me why it's a fan favorite. For starters, it smells dangerously close to cake batter, but is never overwhelming or too strong. Second, the formula somehow is able to provide a hefty dose of hydration without clogging my pores or being greasy. It's truly the perfect everyday bodycare item and until now, I found myself constantly wishing the brand would drop an accompanying bodywash so I could complete the set.
Ask and you shall receive. Recently, the brand decided to answer all my prayers and served up a bodywash on a silver platter. I wasn't sure what to expect out of the formula, but let's just say I was more than impressed. It makes you feel like you've gone to the most luxurious spa sans the $200+ bill. If you also love EOS's vanilla cashmere-scented products and want to add something new to the lineup, look no further. I'm sharing every reason I'll be purchasing this forever below.
I'm kind of picky about my bodywashes. I find that a lot of them don't foam up enough, don't do much for my skin in terms of hydration, or leave a bit of a weird film. This formula strikes the perfect balance between hydration and cleansing. It foams up really nicely and feels like it's cleansing well without drying out your skin. At the same time, though, it feels like silk and glides on so easily. This is thanks to the luxurious blend of shea butter, argan butter, and cocoa butter in the formula.
You'd think that would give the bodywash a bit of a greasy feeling, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It just leaves your skin feeling baby soft without any kind of residue—a huge plus when you have acne-prone skin like I do. The scent notes on this one include whipped vanilla, soft musk, and caramel—the trio of notes that make up the brand's iconic vanilla cashmere fragrance. It's the perfect companion to the body lotion and it's definitely now in my top three formulas.
Whether you have dry, oily, or acne-prone skin, I truly feel like this formula is perfect for all skin types. It's so hydrating and gentle on the skin. Sometimes, I feel like I don't even need a lotion afterwards. The scent is also not offensive or overly strong. I like to think of it as the scented bodywash for people who don't like scented ones. At just $14, it's also pretty budget-friendly, making it the perfect solution when you want a luxury spa day, but don't quite have the budget for it.
Below, I'm sharing a few more of my favorite bodycare products that always feel incredibly luxe.
More Bodycare Products That Feel Like a Luxury Spa Day
As far as drugstore body oils go, this one takes the cake. It absorbs so easily and keeps my skin hydrated well into the next day.
This is my other ride-or-die bodywash. It smells so beautiful with notes of apricot and vanilla (without synthetic fragrance) and feels so silky smooth whenever you apply it. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a travel size.
Maran's body butter is such a treat to use after a shower. It contains skin-softening argan oil, avocado oil, and shea butter. This new scent of the body butter called Golden Hour is an ode to California sunsets and has the aroma of white musk, santal, and amber. It's so warm and comforting—a new favorite besides the Vanilla Apricot and Vanilla Vibezzz scent.
I love diffusing essential oils, but they're even better in a body butter. This rich body butter from DoTerra glides onto your skin like butter and features essential oils of douglas fir, wild orange, and frankincense. It smells really earthy and organic—two things I love smelling like after a spa day.
The scrub is just as good as the body butter. It's invigorating, leaves your skin so smooth, and adds a boost of hydration before you go in with the body butter.
I didn't realize my shower experience was missing these Esker steamers until I tried them. They make your entire shower smell organically fragrant in record time. It's truly a full spa experience at home.
