I Just Tried Chanel Skincare for the First Time, and Beauty Editors Are Right—These Products Are Fantastic
A+ products to hydrate, smooth fine lines, and more.

I'll be honest. My skincare regimen has been all over the place. I've tried products over the years but have never been consistent with anything, so I never got the results I wanted (hydrated skin with reduced lines)—shocker. I decided to change that. Enter Chanel.
Chanel reigns supreme in the luxury space. I'm a fashion editor, so naturally, the skincare range intrigued me. The beauty editors on the team also rave about Chanel's skincare products, and I trust them to provide all of my recommendations. I should mention that I have bought a Chanel lip balm and lotion before, but the face products are completely new to me.
I had the privilege of testing some of the top-rated Chanel skincare products, including the coveted Sublimage line. Below, you'll find the five favorite products that I tested—those that get a five-star rating from me. I do want to note that these products are certainly high-end, and the intel ahead is meant to inspire if you happen to be interested in something at the luxury price point.

Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum Lèvres
Why I like it: This lip product is my game-changer. As I mentioned above, I've tried a Chanel lip balm, but the Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum Lèvres is a completely different experience. It doesn't sit on top of your lips like many glosses. Rather, it soaks into your lips to actually hydrate. My lips don't feel the same as they did before I introduced this product into my routine.
Technically speaking, it's created using microfluidic technology and concentrated with white camellia extract and hyaluronic acid. This is what gives the lips the boost of hydration. It's also designed to plump and soothe.
I'm currently using it both morning and night, and I have another lip balm that I add on top of it during the day.
Chanel La Crème Main
Why I like it: Okay, this is the lotion I tried before, but I had to include it because I adore it so much. It's heavenly. The packaging is elegant and chic, and yes, the actual product lives up to the hype.
Unlike other lotions I've tried, it actually leaves my hands feeling silky smooth (like, actually) and doesn't have that weird residue that some lotions have. You know what I mean? While it's certainly expensive, you only need a little dab for it to be effective.
Chanel Sublimage Le Sérum
Why I like it: Chanel's Sublimage line is pure luxury. This serum is created with polyfractioned vanilla planifolia along with two hero ingredients—a lipopeptide and solidago extract. The combination rejuvenates and is intended to smooth, sculpt, and firm.
I've been using it both morning and night after I wash my face, and I apply it to my forehead and cheeks. (I have facial hair, so I avoid that area.) The smell is divine with the vanilla notes, and the texture is light yet effective. I don't think my skin has ever felt so smooth and moisturized.
Side note: The bottle is gorgeous and instantly elevated my counter.
Chanel Sublimage La Crème Yeux
Why I like it: This eye cream complements the serum above. It's starting to brighten my eyes and certainly helps to reduce some of the puffiness I have. It's part of my morning and nighttime routines, and I use it on both the upper and lower part of my eye. Again, a little goes a long way. I simply scoop out a droplet and massage it in.
Chanel Sublimage Le Masque
Why I like it: The Sublimage mask is not an everyday product—I've been using it twice per week as a complement to the products above. It gives my skin another hydrating and moisturizing element. It's also designed to help with firmness, something I've been looking for. The texture is soft and doesn't feel cakey or thick, which I've experienced with other masks and didn't like.
