This £19 Moisturiser Is Criminally Underappreciated—Since Trying It, I'm Never Looking Back
As a beauty journalist, I love the opportunity to try out a product that has rave reviews from actual customers. But as someone who has worked in multiple areas of the beauty industry—including marketing and product formulation—I always take a critical approach to every product I try. I know that lofty claims, buzzword ingredients, and social media virality don't always equate to a really good product.
One product that does live up to the hype however, is Beauty Pie's Super Healthy Skin Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream (£19), a moisturiser that I am constantly seeing on my Instagram feed.
The unassuming white jar retails for less than £20 (for Beauty Pie members) and has racked up over 5000 rave reviews since it launched—that's how good it is. It works for all skin types and does (according to the brand) "a little bit of everything". Fine lines, dehydration, dullness, loose skin, and dryness are just a few of the skin concerns it addresses. If that doesn’t pique your interest, the fact I’ve repurchased this countless times over the past few years just might.
Read on for my full review of one of Beauty Pie's bestsellers, from how to use it to the benefits it will bring to your skin.
Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream Review
The Formula
Finding a good moisturiser can be difficult, which is why I always recommend taking a good look at the ingredients when you're looking for one. Now the price of this product is great, but what's even better is its formula—and the fact it's valued at £100 for non-members gives you an indication of just how good that formula is.
Even though the cream has a light, fresh texture, it delivers an impressive amount of moisture, largely due to the fact that it's powered by potent hydrators like glycerin, oat kernel extract, and two different types of hyaluronic acid.
In addition, it's packed with skin-brightening and protecting antioxidants, and you can credit alteromonas ferment extract for its soothing, calming properties. The fact that it does a little bit of everything is what makes it an appealing option for all skin types—it can smooth lines, plump skin, and brighten dull areas all in one go.
The Packaging
Like many moisturisers, Super Healthy Skin Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream is housed in a glass jar. This does mean that it isn't airtight, so once you start using it, you have six months to finish it up. However, I have yet to meet anyone who's been able to make any moisturiser last that long. Since it can be used both morning and night (plus I'd always advise applying moisturiser generously), you'll probably find it lasts you around eight weeks. The other downside to a glass jar is that it's fairly heavy and bulky, so isn't the best option for travelling with.
However, one major benefit is that you can scoop every last drop out of this moisturiser, truly getting your money's worth. What's more, the packaging is 100% recyclable.
The Verdict
One of the things that I really love about this moisturiser is that I can feel its deeply hydrating effects straight away. Plus, while it's on the thicker side, it absorbs easily and doesn't leave any greasy residue on skin, just a fresh, healthy glow. Given its lightweight and smooth texture, this moisturiser should play well with the rest of your routine (I love it under makeup) and it's unlikely to bother sensitive and breakout-prone skin types.
In the long term, thanks to its potent and active ingredient formulation, the result is a complexion that's smoother, stronger, and healthier. My skin always looks its best when this staple is in my routine, and I've recommended it to so many friends and followers who now feel the same way.
if you're looking for a hardworking moisturiser that caters to a wide range of skin concerns, this is the option for you. No matter what the time of year or what my skin is going through, it always helps to restore balance and hydration. It seems you really can have it all.

If dullness or hyperpigmentation are amongst your top skin concerns, try instead this souped-up version of the original formula. It's boosted with niacinamide and vitamin C.

This is one of the best hyaluronic acid serums I've ever tried. If you've been using a less impressive formula, you'll really notice the difference in your skin when you start using this one.

This silky light sunscreen is one of the brand's bestsellers. It provides an impressive level of sun protection and doubles up as a makeup primer, so you don't need to worry about your foundation pilling.

I consider this one of Beauty Pie's most underrated gems. It's a soothing gel cleanser which doesn't foam up or strip skin of moisture. Instead, it helps to calm and soothe skin while it cleanses.

Another product with an incredible texture, this nourishing cleansing balm melts into a silky oil on the skin and gently warms for a truly spa-like cleansing experience.
