One of These Victoria Beckham–Approved Eyeliners Sells Every 30 Seconds—It's Time You Joined the Party
I don't regularly wear eyeliner, but when I do, there's a 99.99% chance I grab one from Victoria Beckham Beauty. It's not that I go particularly starry eyed for celebrity-owned brands—I, like so many other beauty editors, am actually quite fatigued by the number of A-lister launches—but because I think the products are just so freaking impressive. The formulas are creamy and forgiving, the packaging is chic (dare I say posh?), and the shades are simply mesmerizing. Oh, and it's not just me who's obsessed! One eyeliner is sold every 30 seconds, according to Victoria Beckham herself.
If you have yet to get your hands on this cult favorite, I'd say it's about time you joined the party. Here's everything you need to know about the formula and shades, plus the most iconic ways to wear them. Consider it my love letter to my favorite liners.
The Formula
First, let's chat about ingredients. The liners come in three finishes—matte, high-shine shimmer, and sparkling jewel—and each is infused with soothing players, like chamomile extract, panthenol, and vitamin E. These MVPs give the formula its effortless glide (no pulling or tugging on the delicate skin), which is great for folks (read: me) with super-sensitive eyes.
The glitzy shades get their sparkle from mineral-based silica pearl, as opposed to microplastic glitter particles, which not only is planet-friendlier but also keeps the liner from feeling too "gritty." It's hands down, the most comfortable eyeliner I've used—and I'm very picky when it comes to eye makeup. Most liners tend to leave my orbs red and bleary for a beat (a small price to pay for an immaculate wing!), but these do not agitate them whatsoever.
The Shades
As I mentioned, the liners come in matte, high-shine, and sparkly finishes, and I honestly dare you to pick a favorite category. I certainly can't! There's Jeans, a matte denim blue; Fig, a rich plum; Cinnamon, a warm, shimmery brown; Sea Grey, a shiny gunmetal; a gleaming Gold Lamé; and a host of other elevated shades begging to dress up your eye looks. Lining up all my favorite colors on my vanity feels like my version of an adult crayon box. And because the offerings are all so intriguing, I often find myself experimenting with pigments I'd never think to wear before. A slick of velvety seafoam green or shimmering mauve has never seemed so inviting.
The shades also play exceptionally well together if you just can't choose a single hue (been there!). I often layer two or even three liners at once, and they effortlessly fuse together for a stunning, cohesive beat. My favorite combo at the moment? A wash of Cocoa (a matte brown) on my lash line followed by Olive (a shimmery forest green) at the outer corners and a touch of Gold Lamé to brighten things up. These earthy tones help my blue-green eyes pop, so this trio became my makeup failsafe for holiday soirées.
The Application
Using three liners at once may sound involved, but believe me, these beauties make it easy to fashion impeccable eye looks. For starters, the formula is so forgiving. If I make any errant strokes, a simple buff with my fingertip or the attached smudger will clear the pigment right off. They also blend like a dream, which is great if you're opting for a smoky-lid situation (like Beckham demonstrates here!). Simply scribble your liner of choice close to the lash line, then use the attached sponge to smoke out the pigment. That creaminess will ensure it diffuses effortlessly, and it's also what helps the shades melt together so beautifully, if you choose to use multiple hues.
Despite the easygoing formula, these liners do stay put after a bit of dry time. Once you have the perfect placement, I'd wait a minute for your liner to set before applying anything else on top. Once it dries, rest assured it won't budge.
Which eyeliner does Victoria Beckham use?
One of Beckham's go-to shades is Cinnamon, a shimmery, toasty brown. She uses it to create her signature smoky eye, as it's a much softer hue for the everyday look compared to jet black or gunmetal gray. She also loves Olive for a more festive moment, especially when paired with her emerald green Lid Lustre. "I have always been deeply inspired by rich, opulent greens, which is why I love pairing Emerald with my Satin Kajal Liner in Olive for an added touch of radiance," she writes in an Instagram caption.
So, are VB eyeliners good?
This probably goes without saying, but yes, the Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liners are unbelievable. Not many other eyeliners can nail that smooth, creamy consistency without becoming too gloopy, and the gorgeous shade collection is truly unmatched.
And as I mentioned up top, I'm not alone in my obsession; I can't even count how many times I've spotted the chic, sleek pencils poking out of a makeup artist's professional kit. After each instance, I'll say something along the lines of, "Victoria Beckham's liners are just the best, aren't they?" They usually respond by gushing over the high-quality performance and elevated design. You just feel chic using them—from Posh Spice, I'd expect nothing less.
